BOH Badge Installation and Tips

After researching and finding some pointers online, I managed to use painters tape, double sided tape, and the solid edge of a level. While testing the placement of 3 across, I found that the first badge would start roughly centered over the letter J. To place each one, I would set the edge against my level, and gently move it in to stick it into position.

I hope these visuals help some folks; if anyone can provide additional tips, please do so. Cheers!

I admire your sense of detail. I will say, before you get too far along, that you can’t just push them against a level, because all four edges have slight convex curves. I too use blue tape and a straight edge, but you still need to make sure you’re only lining up the center of the edge, or you might end up with a curve. Not all of mine are perfect, but I try to get them very close.

This looks very nice, and is the typical layout pattern that I’ve seen. Clearly you’ve had some opportunities to really get out there and enjoy your Jeep. I’m hoping that I’ll eventually have this many.

Thank you, It’s the complete Mopar set. They are a little on the pricey side, and I wanted something that would aesthetically match the other add-ons, like the DV8 step sliders. With the mesh covers, they resemble half doors.

I’m not sure how it will show on your screen; my profile pic has the same Mopar tube doors w/out the mesh covers. Oh my … I just looked it up, and the price now, is 10%-30% more than what I had paid.

I thought about something along those lines, or even keeping them on some wall hanger; that way if the JT parted ways, I would still have the badges in good condition.

I put velcro hook on the backside and just stick them to my Hothead headliners inside. Someone pried one off my old JKR but they were nice enough to not mess up the paint other than the normal sun fading.

I’m putting mine on the bottom edge of my RSI cap ,can get 18 per side and ten on back. 46 will take me awhile looks like I’ll be getting three more this year in NH, MD, and VA. Some out west sound great but that is a lot of driving , I’ll probably focus on the eastern side of the country first……Jack
Ps: Of course that’s a “Quail Jail” I built for my daughter on the trailer, she is raising quail for eggs that are better for my wife’s throat issue then chicken eggs, I’m damn proud of both of my daughters, amazing women!
