Bronco Truck vs Gladiator

yeah - I know what you mean. Attached are some pisc of the inside of my old rover to show you I'm not pretentious (pretenious aholes don't build home made drawers from plywood ) and one pic of my JTR after it arrived (sorry about the cooler in the JT pic - my sister works for them and this was for her). I LOVE my JT. Its perfect for what I need. Getting an Ace Upper Decker next week from a forum member and have an ARB bondi bumber on backorder. Rockhard 4x4 angled down sliders are also on back order. SS3 Max yellow fogs also on back order ... for the bumper. My rover winch is going on the JT as soon as I have all that backordered stuff. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Very cool, I am putting those stock rubi sliders on my sport...and the undercoating is going to make an easy job miserable (no good deed... right), also getting Dick Cepek 295/70/17 tires 34", may level the front...all depends on it fitting in the garage. Only thing else so far is a trifold tonneau and weather tech mudflaps.

Looks like Ford is going to try and compete with the Gladiator. To me it’s a bit of a head scratcher since it’ll pull some folks from the ranger and f150 market. I’ll stick with Jeep. Thoughts?

Fully plan on having a Bronco in the driveway in a few years next to the Gladiator. Just depends on if it is the regular Bronco, or if they actually do end up making a Bronco based truck. Always said if it looks like this render I'd buy in a second.

F Ford seems to be making suc financial decisions. They need money. Wasn't enough to get $100 in advace for a reservation for a Bronco that may not turn into an order or $300 for reserving a Mach E, which is being held up to make sure each one is perfect. Just like every vehicle ever produced by a manufacture. Why say they want perfection before relesase, that would be difficult. Look into the 2.3 track record. Lets see how much money Ford can burn through with another first edition that needs a deposit first. Good luck Ford, not making enough money selling all the information they get from you when you sync up to and get connected to sync 3. You and everthing on your phone is available to them. As long as you just use your smart phone as a phone no worries there. I wonder if they will be eligable to use some Government money. Thanks for the compotition.

I have a Gladiator in the shipping stage but I considered the Ranger for a hot second before I ordered a Gladiator. For me, it was largely nostalgia. I've liked Jeep Wranglers since I was a kid. At 51 and buying my first new vehicle, I could really easily see myself wishing I'd gotten a Jeep if I got a Bronco. The other way around not so much. Then it was between Wrangler and Gladiator. Almost went with a 2 door JLR and would keep my '96 Chevy CK1500 for when I need a truck, but driveway leapfrog with my wife is hard enough with 2 vehicles and I knew I'd never want to drive it. Fortunately Jeep makes essentially a Wrangler truck now and I'm hoping I find it to be the best of both worlds.

The bronco sport is a dud imo. Im still holding my breath for the full size to be released and we can get more impartial tests to read up on.

The sad thing is I don’t even know that there’s an actual production assembled Bronco yet.

I tried looking for videos today, and everyone of them is still pre-production and only driven by Ford people (engineers, salespeople, I’m not really sure what their title is).

I think production has been pushed back a few times already, and this already on top of the last several years of occasional Bronco teasing. Feel like they are going to lose their momentum and interest if they haven’t already. Especially when so many people think the Bronco Sport is THE Bronco.
