Building my own flush tail lights

Agreed, that should have been in big bold letter considering that more than 75% (probably more) of this forum are US

Or change the product name to Euro tail light function. Cause me bringing it up seemed that it was going to work here for the US Jeeps.

Alright so here's how they look... I'm still not 100% happy...

I ordered a set for shits and giggles......the fit and finish with the tail lights and taillights grommets is pure shit

The plastic is soooo thin too... I just like the way the cover all the way to the ressed area of the gladiator... But I don't believe I will run them on my gladiator....

I won't hijack this anymore than to add - just posted a quick vid of these RR lights on an older thread about them. Also makes me wonder if @Justinswidebody pulled the grommets fully into place? The way they came in the box is not the way they get installed, which was super confusing at first when I saw them.

I can't get the lights to seat right in the grommets. Looks like dogshit.

I think I'm going to return them.

Did you fully seat the grommets? I didn't realize at first you need to grab them from the back and really pull them into place, they kinda unfold a bit to form the perfect seal. As far as pushing the light into place, spray a good foamy glass cleaner or soap on a paper towel and quickly run it around the grommet, placing the light inside while its still wet and slippery.

Did you fully seat the grommets? I didn't realize at first you need to grab them from the back and really pull them into place, they kinda unfold a bit to form the perfect seal. As far as pushing the light into place, spray a good foamy glass cleaner or soap on a paper towel and quickly run it around the grommet, placing the light inside while its still wet and slippery.

Full disclosure I was trying to do it after driving 9 hrs from OBX back to MD. Maybe I didn't have the correct bandwidth to F with it then.

But what baffles me is, why don't they come assembled.......I bought taillights not a Lego set lol

Alright, got the grommets figured out. A spray bottle with some dish soap was the trick; I was afraid of breaking the plastic.

I'll post a video on IG later. 1BADI5 is my handle.

Mods w/o pics is lame, so here you go. I captured everything in the video though.

Also to add a pointer, a single wrap of electrical tape around the side markers makes for a tighter more appropriate fit.

I'm going to order a paint kit this week so I can color match the housings

I tagged you in my link higher up on this page, with a video of the reverse lights in operation. They are pretty sweet and work much better than I imagined at first. All 12 LEDs switch from red to white when you are in R.
