I would factor in a few things here
(1) what is the time involved to change back to stock? (can you do it or do you need to pay a shop to do it?
(2) whats the cost involved to buy all parts to put truck back to stock?
(3) If you decide to take the buyback, what is all the parts you have to sell worth? Is it worth the hassle? You know selling "used" parts people wanna pay like .25 on the dollar!
(4) Honestly if I was in your position, I'd may be looking at other brands

It’s a lot of work, I put in everything myself, minus the gears and that was over the course of a year. It’s hours and hours of work.

To get the parts to put it back to stock I’m looking at around 2k and again hours and hours of labor on my part.

Yeah I know I’d be at a loss if I sell all the parts

I have looked at other vehicles but nothing is as cool as our trucks period. I love the Gladiator, nothing out there looks like it and of course the top and doors come off. The only other vehicle that can do that is a Bronco and I’m not a fan of any Ford made product.

The Ford Raptor is pretty badass. I added about $20K into my jeep since purchasing it. Man, I know its A LOT of time and money. Jeeps don't come badass, we make them badass (lifts, tires, tazers, suspension, etc...) Honestly if something were to happen to my Jeep, I'd probably go buy a Raptor and be done with it. They come pretty badass and dont need / have huge amounts of possible upgrades like a Jeep.

I don't understand the question, total buy back on this. It's just a business decision in that you're getting offered money for something that is worth probably half of the offer. No way are you getting offered this good of a deal again.

If he did not have the sunken costs of his mods and time, I think the buyback would be a no brainer.

Put it back stock and install the parts on your new Truck.

That’s the conundrum.
No question I would do this. I basically did the same thing two years ago but instead of buyback it was crazy trade in offer. Ripped everything off my JLUR in two days and put it back to stock. Yes it sucked but happy I did it as I got exactly what I wanted.

cheers

Exactly, Its hours and hours because we do it one piece at a time and redo a lot of the dissassembly again and again. Going back to stock maybe a weekend, since you can basically undo everything all at once and replace everything though. Same thing building it back up, knowing what I know now, i'd just do suspension, steering, tires/wheels, all at once in a weekend.

If it’s been good for a while now and you got the new warranty I’d keep it personally that’s my opinion you can put that in file 13.

Honestly, I'd take the buy back. With all you've dealt with, there's a good chance its just working fine now. Personally, I'd never keep a vehicle that I didn't feel like I could trust to not leave me stranded. Especially one that's only got 22k miles, and is just 2 years old. What's that thing going to be like in another 2 years? Having that 100k mile warranty is great, but I'd rather have a standard warranty on a problem free vehicles instead of having that warranty 500 miles from home stranded on the side of a busy interstate.

I think the generous buyback offer benefits Jeep in this case. They could be on the hook for two to three time their buyback offer after lawyer fees and additional settlement money if you retain a lemon law firm.

Hi,
I took a buy-back on my 2020 JLUR for corrosion. It took about a month of negotiations with the dealer firmly on my side. Received $55k and bought my 2023 Mojave for $59k. I was pleasantly surprised Jeep owned up to the issue.

I went thought the same thing and I decided to keep it due to how much money it would cost me on the buy back. They ended up giving me 7 year and 100k mile warranty and 2k to keep my JT. All the issues I was having seems be fixed now so I’m happy.
