Thanks! I didn't think of that. I would prefer that scenario to mechanical issues with the vehicle. It could have been a sale that couldn't get financing. Someone drove it for a week and the dealer couldn't get them financed and thus had to call them back into the dealer. It would still be able to be sold as new since technically it never got licensed.
By “quite a few”, I presume you mean a very small percentage of vehicles built. Probably similar to other manufacturers...Quite a few low mileage Gladiators getting turned back in because of engine problems. Be careful. Check the issues & warranty section of this forum for some great info.
You are correct. It’s seems only a small percentage of Jeep owners are getting burned by FCA. That should bring joy & happiness to all.By “quite a few”, I presume you mean a very small percentage of vehicles built. Probably similar to other manufacturers...

What engine break in procedure(s) are Jeep dealers supposed to be doing prior to delivery? My dealer struggles to wash & fuel up before delivery.Engine break-in proceedur may not have been followed by the dealer
Make them give you a "No Charge" 6 year 100k mile FCA "Gold" extended warranty. Otherwise I would say no thank you!Possible new owner and newb here. Need some advice and help.
Looking at purchasing a new 2020 JT Rubicon and working with a dealer I trust. They are trading for the vehicle from another dealer. We have worked out a good deal for the vehicle and I am happy with what I am paying. My dealer just called me and said that when they went to get the JT from the other dealer, the odometer is at 800 miles. The trading dealer is saying it wasn't a demo and either take it or leave it. I am sure a manager has been driving. Just disappointed that it was undisclosed.
I am concerned with whether I should say yes or turn it down. The JT has everything I want. Just concerned about the 800 miles and it being labeled a "new" car. What concerns should I have or be looking for?
The dealer and I will go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and ensure that nothing is wrong or needs attention. I am friends with the service manager and he is going to put the JT up on the lift and look over everything.
Any thoughts or feedback?
I appreciate it!
I bought mine new with 960 miles. Dealership owner used it for a few weeks. Got a good deal tho.Possible new owner and newb here. Need some advice and help.

Congrats and welcome! You will love it.Thanks to everyone for the great feedback and advice! I really appreciate it.
Test drove and inspected vehicle today - it was in great shape! The service manager is a friend and he went over it with a microscope and said he said no issues at all and everything was great. I didn't see one issue and looked over everything for an hour while going through the delivery checklist.
It looks like it was used as a demo for one of their managers.
We finalizing our negotiation on additional discounts and accessories for the extra miles, but know I will get something worthwhile. I got a really great deal so excited to take delivery!
Been lurking for a while on the forums and it is great to get the immediate feedback and advice from everyone.
My first jeep and excited to join the club!
