How do you like the bed tent? I'm considering a similar setup. I'd likely only be spending a night or 2 at a time in it, but I'm not 25 anymore so I need something a least a little bit comfy.
Setup is easy enough. Way too much tension on the front awning pole, didn't crack though. Verified it was correct 3x. If you can put a tarp up and park under it with the tent and NOT use the rainfly, it would be ideal. Rainfly does NOT help with ventilation at all since the windows and vents are totally covered.

All in all, it is nice for once person plus gear and great for 1 or 2 night trips.

I do not like using inflatable pads/mattresses, so I put down a bunch of moving blankets to lay on top of and then my sleeping bag.

New to the pop-up camper game. Definetly not a "new" camper, but it seems to work quite well for what it is. Took it down to the Redwoods for just shy of a week. This ecodiesel is a pretty sweet little motor. 3.73 with 37s and still got almost 22 mpg, and zero power loss.

HAS to do better than this setup my parents had, but as I recall, that V8 was not lacking for any power and it went all over the Black Hills and other areas.
(yeah, poor growing up, even the city streets in our part of town were gravel, not kidding)

We had one of those folding "privacy" tent/changing room bought off AMZN for about $20. It worked the first few times, but then the formed rods ended up bending from being folded up so it's basically worthless.

After watching Trail Recon, I suggested to my wife one of those tents (not the Nemo), so we now have a new tent to try out next year. It's a Kelty privacy tent with an external frame. It's a little heavy, but it should be more useful/stable than what we had.

I have to build out my compact propane water heater setup for the shower still.
I ended up getting a Joolca Shower tent and their HOTTAP propane heated shower and sink system. It's pretty bad @$$

I snagged one of these for $100 off during a father's day sale

So now I have a really nice stove/table/storage system

We headed east for a long weekend, it was 95ish every day.

Our portable A/C got a workout.

Came home just in time to go to our great nephew's 2nd birthday party.

Then adjusted the load out.

After loading the cooler and our toy, we headed to the Oregon Dunes.

Keeping it simple with our table and coleman grill.

I hang this cheap tapestry over the rear ramp door to cover the rubberized coating that just doesn't come clean.

and the beach.

We had a blast, sister and brother inlaw was there with their toy also. Neice showed up with her little boy for a few days.

Good times. The great nephew needed his first jersey and goggles.

Diesel was awesome. We could make it each way without filling up. Average roughly 16mph, which I'm not going to complain about. Our total dunes setup was roughly 5k pounds over the stock JTRD weight. Most of the weight was on the trailer, but I had stuff in the cab and bed of the truck. Tried to spread some of the weight around because I wasn't sure how the Gladiator would handle the tongue weight, but I was pleasantly surprised. Unit didn't buck, wallow or sway at all. Basically, a totally uneventful pull. Which is exactly what you want on a 250 mile, 4+ hour trip.
