At least he posts in a polite way. Your post shows that you can’t. You may not like his opinions. That doesn’t give you the right to call him names. Childish at best.
Polite? Every single, and I repeat... EVERY SINGLE, post he makes has a passive aggressive, my opinion is the only opinion that matters tone to it. Sounds real polite.

I am 100% polite when there is no reason to be otherwise. I think he's a prick and I'm allowed to express that opinion... but hey, opinions are like assholes, right?

Childish? Calling names? Did I call him a boogerheaded doodie sniffer? I said that I think he's a condescending prick. That's not name calling, that's an accurate description of how I feel he portrays himself on the internet.

And, to be completely fair, if you feel the need to put 'Incapable of being politically correct.' (which, BTW, I am cut from the same cloth) in your signature, you're an asshole and you don't care, so you had better be capable of dealing with it when someone returns kind.

Tagging @ShadowsPapa so it doesn't seem like I am trying to talk behind his back.

Let's bring this back to the topic at hand here

Since I put my Jeep through way worse abuse than a car wash, I don't care about the brushes

That being said, I have accessories that I don't quite trust going through: aftermarket bumper, cowl lights, bed rack, etc. Are any of you guys going in the auto car wash with all that gear on it?

Still, I've never seen scratches, at least at Mr CarWash where I go. I do keep it waxed with Maguire's Ultimate wax, and spray underneath during winters.
might not be looking close enough to see

I actually considered a plastic film wrap which would be great but then I have to worry about application whether or not it’s gonna be scratched during the process, if done right I feel like that’s the best alternative.
Use magnetic signs to protect the paint.
Thanks for all the comments folks, who would have thought washing our Beloved Gladiators would invoke so much passions... ;)

The car wash I use is brushless, but the main reason I would use a car wash vs doing it myself is the undercarriage. Don't have a pressure washer, but we have some very-good water pressure where I live and with a good nozzle with a "jet" option on it it is fairly powerful (relatively), so I think it will work at home.

Are there any areas in the undercarriage that I should pay special attention to cleaning? Alternatively, any areas that I would not want to hit with a "jet" stream?

I never had to clean the undercarriage of my STS lol, so this is new to me.

Thanks in Advance
There's a lot of places for the mud to go, especially in the frame.
I've come to notice a pattern around here... no matter the topic. @ShadowsPapa will absolutely interject his pompous opinions and then a thread will be derailed by the BS that follows.

Facts are, regardless of @ShadowsPapa 's opinions, these things are Jeeps, not shitbox show cars.

Don't stress it, if you have to use a 'touch' carwash every once in a while, you have two options, paint correction from time to time or actually use your rig and recognize that it's got pinstrips and still looks decent from 10 feet away (which is good enough for a rig that get's used).

A hose in the driveway is good enough to rinse your undercarriage, especially after a beach run. If it's heavy mud, you're going to have a hell of a mess to clean up in the driveway.

Most importantly, these things ARE NOT mud boggers. Stay out of deep mud if it's at all possible, your axle seals will thank you for it.
Will the seals dry out after being in mud?

No, it's like sandpaper. It just destroys them.

Nope. That’s a good reason to stay away from them.

This one might have been added in following pages:
A tip on cleaning underside many of us used is park over lawn sprinkler turn on. The worly-gig ones worked well for me in past.

Some of y’all are going to get “triggered”.
?
The plot twist... he posted this in real time and didn't survive the unfathomable trauma that followed. We will never hear from him again! HAHA!

No!! You might scratch the undercarriage!!!

In all seriousness, just giving you a hard time @JET_83 as I can see you are very OCD about scratches.

I agree with everybody on this thread...?

To the OP's question: find a low spot in your yard and grab a couple of these.

Throw them under your rig and turn them on for an hour or so.
