I really pulled the thread chasing down what started as a small coolant leak...

I began by swapping the worm gear clamps for factory-style constant tension clamps, only to realize that nothing on my cooling system is factory anymore. That meant learning how to properly measure constant tension clamps the hard way. Once I finally got everything back together, I discovered the hoses themselves needed to be replaced. And on it went... I'm sure this video will resonate with some of you, and the rest can get a laugh out of watching me learn a few lessons the hard way.

I had a vehicle with a modified driveline and engine. I had to keep a parts list for the occasional mishap on a road trip. Part stores always ask year and make, which didn't work any longer. Then when you give them a part number, sometimes it works out and they look it up. Other times, they still ask what is the year and make. Keep a list of those items. It could be useful later on.

On my LS swapped '93 Chevy I sometimes had to think about which part of the truck I needed parts for when they asked...

Engine and trans? Oh I need parts for an '01 Silverado 5.3L

Other trinkets? 93 Chevy 1500 with any motor.

Interior? Well depending on what part of the interior it was a 95-98 Chevy 1500....

Severely customized vehicles are always entertaining.

Excellent advise and a recommendation I am currently working on. I've replaced the starter, upper/lower coolant hoses, constant tension clamps, engine air filter and none of those parts belong to a JT. Even the engine oil, diff oil, and coolant are different flavors! Too much to keep track of without a list.
