Any Gladiator owners here use Chemical Guys products? Just wondering if y’all like the Mr Pink Wash or the Extreme Body Wash Plus Wax better?

I use the extreme body wash and wax with my foam cannon and power washer, I honestly can’t really tell the difference between chemical guys vs the stuff I got at Lowe’s.... maybe it’s just me

I will say this, the 1 gallon extreme stuff from chemical guys is very concentrated so you don’t need much to wash the whole truck.

as long as it's pH neutral you'll be fine using whatever.

I am a Griot's Garage guy myself but do have a lot of the Chemical Guys stuff too; I'd agree that some of the stuff I get at Lowe's is just as capable as the pricier options. pH matters and I've found no difference. Just don't be the one who uses dish soap on their vehicle.

This extreme wash and wax says pH balanced. I have never really paid attention to what I have used when washing my vehicles. I would like to start doing a much better job.

You're good to go, you can trust them. I've tested many of them on my own vehicles and the variance is not worth mentioning. You're paying for marketing, etc. Brand loyalty in this space is just as profitable as brand loyalty for Jeep (It's the only vehicle I've ever owned).

Unrelated, my family is stuck in an AIRBNB for the next month until we close on our home. The neighbor next to us details vehicles that are worth more than the duplex we're stuck in...think Aston's, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls, etc. His setup is arguably the best in my state (so say the owners and dealers) and he's not sweating over pH so long as you're buying a product recommended for car washing.

There's a Continental GT and an AMG GT 63S in his driveway as I type this. I let experts be experts in their field. If he says my Lowe's or Griot's Garage wash is satisfactory, I trust him too!

If you want to remove grease and oils, you'll typically find a pH over neutral works better.
That's because it breaks down the components of the oils or grease.
The biggest issue is not go too far over 7, and RINSE RINSE RINSE. The rinse water is just as important as the minerals and acids in water can impact the finish.
I've used cleaners for years in plating and the only thing that truly removes all traces of oils and greases are things with higher pH. (gives that "soapy feel")
You've seen photos of my SX4, three gold awards, best of show, etc. - that paint is from 2013. I rinse with distilled water prior to judging.
My neighbor thought I had my WJ repainted - just the rocker panels (replaced those) and I washed it up good. It's 16 years old and the finish is still good. Odd because it hadn't had a ton of care before Dad bought it.
When I sold my 70 Javelin last fall, the paint was still good, still had good finish and it had been painted in about 2007. That's 12 years on the repaint.
The biggest enemies are sun, acids, bird crap, and dust. Dust is one thing that scratches the surface and lets other stuff in. Dust is nasty. Want to make a new vehicle look like crap fast? wipe the dust off or touch it when it's got dust on it.
I've never bothered with pH neutral - never had an issue.

Chemical guys is pretty run of the mill stuff IMO, their soaps are ok, I've used them and they are reasonably priced.

I only use CG on my Jeep. Been using them for years. Jet Seal and V07 wash and sealant is my go to stuff. All Clean works great for carpet floor and seats too. Ceramic coated the wifes VW with CG as well. Love their stuff! Biggest thing is to follow the steps:

My profile pic is fresh after a CG full detail!

What is the advantage of jet seal and V07 over the Extreme Wash and Wax and the Mr. Pink wash as well?
