Cold air intake: AFE vs K&N

I have the AFE and I love it. Contrary to what everyone else will tell you, it is the only one that will post their performance gains, even tho only minimal. All the naysayers be damned, I got an additional 1-2mpg after I installed it.

Did you find it weird that the AFE only has one opening at the top and it’s being covered by the hood? Don’t you think that will restrict some good airflow? I’ve had mine for sometime and to be honest, it’s cool and all but man, I really think it’s restricting the breathing with just one hole at the top. Where heat rises to in the engine bay.

Nope. That thing seals tight to the hood only pulling air from the gap between the fender and hood. I will say that I have been looking for a Mopar CAI hood cut out bezel to see if it’s able to be used on the driver side of the hood. Im sure the air is restricted and I really want to hear that turbo
