Toyota is probably getting ready to drop for NY International Auto Show.

I'm sure Consumer Reports is already rating it the most reliable Backlit Outline of the Year just cuz it has the Taco badge that meant something generations ago.

It will be interesting to see the engine/trans setup and what they do with the TRD Pro. I doubt it'll be Mojave/ZR2 level though...

Looks like it has a cab spoiler and the Tundra rear end.

Fully expect it to look like a baby tundra, probably not a bad thing as the tundra styling would work much better on a smaller truck. I'm interested to see how hard they lean in to off roading capabilities and if they want to legitimately challenge the rubicon, zr2, ranger raptor or not.

Drum breaks still? Cause if it has actual disk rear then it’s not a taco….

🤣
Have you ever talked to a Tacoma driver about their drum brakes? It really entertaining to see them try to justify how drums are “better off-road” because they aren’t as degraded during high water crossing and that they shed heat better than disc…

they never bring up thefact that they are cheaper And that Toyota of America understands that their customer base don’t actually care as long as it says Toyota.

not this long-time Tacoma driver. Those brakes were straight garbage. I never encountered someone trying to claim otherwise but I would have laughed in their face

Boo. I was hoping for way detail. Hope this gen Taco is a legitimate competitor because they’ve been mailing it in for years.
