Confirmed: SOME 2020 JT's built on 8/14 (2020) and after got the Steel Steering box

Anyone ever confirm the first date of 2021 production, seems like 8/24 was supposed to be the day? My 2021 wound up being an 082414 MDH even though it wasn't ordered until 7/20.

same exact thing with my purchase. I was aware of the TSB at the time but didn’t know the full details before my purchase. I went ahead because it was the color and options I wanted, and the color was going away. Finding the color and options I wanted fairly close to me was a take or or leave it thing.

Agreed. I got the exact truck I would’ve ordered just over an hour from me after missing out on two that were bought the day they came off the truck from other dealerships. I went to the dealer where I bought to put a deposit on the truck that was in transit and found out it had been delivered the night before and was still waiting to be made ready for the lot. I brought it home later that day. 2500 miles in and I’m very happy

Never established that but there is another 2021 in this thread built on 8/24.

I purchased a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon on 9/30/2020 with build date 8-20 and MDH 081314. I have the aluminum box. Taking to the dealer tomorrow for the crap steering, feels dangerous at interstate speed, hard to maintain lane below 70 and above 30, also scary under heavy braking which is typical with FL driving. I have also had the P0300 in my less than two weeks of ownership but that is another thread. Pretty terrible second Jeep experience thus far, the JK Wrangler my wife purchased new in 2016 made it to the first payment at least, but not much farther though.
