I had a dealer quote me $250 for tire rotation and oil change. What are you all paying or do you DYI? I can do it myself but with the HPFP recall I would rather have the dealer do it.
Last I checked the diesel oil filter is like $70-90 if you get the official OEM one. Also IIRC the diesel requires 8 quarts of oil.
If you go by the dealership pricing model that's probably $164 in parts and fluids alone. The .7 hours at $150 an hour gets you another $105. They probably view $250 as an oil change special.
You can buy non-mopar oil filters for as low as $25, and get costco synthetic for $3.10/qt and do it yourself for $50.
Personally I'd stick with the OEM filter for 70 and do it myself for $94
I found a coupon for a diesel oil change a few months back, $179.99 + $25 for a tire rotation then taxes and fees. I was like $210 all in, the coupon was essentially a 50% off the oil change too.
$50 at jiffylube.
I bring my own oil and filter. Amsoil and Docs for the filter and then will go by the oil life indicator. I usually cut my service intervals in half for everything else though - brake fluid, diff fluid etc.
Free tire rotations because I bought my tires at a local tireshop. Pretty sure that's how it is everywhere around here.
Yep; agree with others. Here are my DIY costs, every 7500 mi. (add another $60 for a shipped fuel filter, every 15,000 mi)
$75 for 9 qt. oil (via Amazon cases of Penzoil Platinum Euro)
~$78 for oil filter (support @AllMoparParts.com)
~$30? to Oil Analyzers

call it $190 for the whole shebang including some tax/shipping thrown in...
I just got my last free oil change and asked the service writer what it would cost me next time. They have a price of $340 for 3 oil changes/tire rotations.
If that's correct it sounds pretty good.
