Cost for tune and delete?

What are yall paying to have your 3.0 tuned and deleted? Got a quote of 4k+ "depending", lol. The depending part was whether the lower bolts on the egr break off and cab has to be pulled to access them. This was for tune, egr delete (just capped and not actually removed), delete pipe, and labor. Also tune was from DieselR, which not a lot of info on from the 3.0 platform, but plenty of numbers/info for the Cummins and Powerstrokes. Let me know what yall are seeing in other markets?

I paid EOC right around 2,525 for stage 2 tuning, transmission tuning, complete SS exhaust with muffler, and import fees. I also spend around $300 for a new ECU and cloning. A friend and I removed and replaced the exhaust and it wasn't too bad. I went with EOC after a local shop here quoted me $3,500 for delete and stock tune.

I would be prepared to spend around $2500 for the parts only. Could change if you have to add back and forth shipping of your OEM PCM/customs etc.
I have no idea what labor fees would be.

I believe parts alone on EOC site, were 2k give or take?! the 2k+ in labor is what I was skeptical about for sending a pcm out, egr delete, and swapping mid pipe on exhaust to remove def.

Edit: $2175 for pcm tune, egr delete, and a full ss exhaust plus shipping/fees. So ~1500+ in labor

We left the egr and just capped mine with the plate that's included in the exhaust.

If I had gone bare bones from EOC, their 'Gladiator 3.0L Ecodiesel Stage 2 Off Road Kit' is 1,190. That includes a single tune and straight pipe aluminum exhaust that stops just in front of the rear axle. On top of that you would have to pay to ship your PCM to them and then import fees for having the parts shipped to you. I went with full stainless exhaust and bought a second PCM to clone and sent that to them. This way if I need to go back to complete stock for warranty work, I can. I've only had it installed a few weeks now but it was well worth it.

I also talked with a local exhaust shop about pulling mine and installing the new stuff. He looked at everything and said he'd charge 350 to 400 depending on how long it ended up taking him. Having the Jeep on a lift would have been very helpful. My friend and I did it on the ground with the front up on ramps and it took us about 7 hours includes several breaks to watch video.

Keep in mind that if you want the exhaust to fun back where the current down turn is, you will also have to order the axle back section.

I ordered a cloned pcm from them and had to send my original in, got them back in about two weeks and the clone had the red security light on, that is not supposed to happen. So I cloned one on my own and sent the original and the clone they supplied back. About two weeks later I got them back and the truck would start and run for less than a second and then lit up like a Christmas tree. The third try worked perfectly. Point of the story is make your own clone so you can test it before sending it in to be unlocked.

No, I didn’t order the cloned pcm from them. I bought a new pcm and with a lot of help from a forum member, I was able to clone it myself. I then sent the clone to Canada for tuning. If you order one from them and they program it using only your vin, you will have the red light. Sending them yours or a clone, I believe, is the only way to avoid the light. The big deal for me using a clone is that while my pcm was traveling to Canada and back, I was still able to drive my Jeep. It took 12 days from shipping it to them until it was back in my hands. It was only in their possession for 2 days, everything else was transit time.

You are correct about any warranty work. If I needed something covered I would have to reinstall the oem exhaust and put the original pcm back in.

Before I did it, it sounded like a huge project and I was worried. Now that it’s done I’m embarrassed how easy it was.
