I waited and waited and finally pulled the trigger Sunday. MSRP was 40ish - I got my stripped down, base Sport stick shift for 30500. I felt like if I waited longer the discount MIGHT go up...but it could also end. At my price point the possibility of an extra 5% wasn't worth losing the definite 15% I could get right now...but I'm also a 'bird in the hand' type of guy.

Something you may want to consider. Chrysler may actually end all the incentives. They’ll give the dealer a credit for each 2023 unit and then the vehicles become their problem to offload. I been caught by this before.

Example, a dealer had a few 2022’s laying around, ya think they’re were any incentives for those, NOPE! Cheaper to buy a ‘23. That’s when I found out what happens to super old inventory.
I tend to agree with this. There is a tipping point of prior model year left overs they cut bait on incentives and just concentrate on the current model year. The late 2022 hold overs though were like in the very low hundreds of units vs. the current 2023's still having thousands of units still needing to be moved. I think it will be awhile before FCA cuts bait on the 2023 incentives until those remaining unit numbers get way down.

I'm tempted in trading my '21 Willys 3.6 Sarge for a '23 Willys diesel Sarge with leather seats, cold weather, bedliner, headliner and tow pack. With dealer discount it comes to $50,900 from almost $64k. Should I pull the trigger? My truck is paid off and KBB estimated my trade value at asserting $34k.

If you need the diesel and you actually found a brand-new '23 that's got exactly what you want option-wise... sounds like it may be the time--- no diesels in '24... just my opinion..

There are four identical in options at my local dealer. All Willys. All at the same price. I don't need a diesel but wouldn't mind it since we tire a camper.

That's nice. Loaded!
There are some great deals out there- I just don't know that i would ever go with a diesel.. i'm confused enough already just going from my f-150 to the gladiator and back with the window switches being on door to the middle console.. i always seem to reach the wrong way now, whichever one i'm in... i can imagine myself reaching for the wrong pump with potentially disasterous consequences if i have both a diesel and gas vehicles....

It's a gamble. They could renew it or even go lower or wipe there hands of it if the dealer didn't want to lower the price enough to move it. I bought mine in Nov 23' and did 24% total off. I wanted nearly fully loaded EcoDiesel Rubicon in Velocity Yellow/Green. I did not want the Farout because I don't like the black out grill and and hood decals and fender decal. Just to busy for me. I did want the black hard top and fenders for the contrast. Very important on some colors to have the contrast for me and Velocity is one. Good luck as there are only 424 Rubicon EcoDiesels at the time of this post left in all colors nationwide.

With the recent employee layoffs and with everything else going on with stellantus the incentives should improve.

I do not like these dealership tactics, it would be great if the dealer model changed. I am considering trading in and the same problems with getting the dealers to be fair and honest.
Too many games and I just stay away and wait for another year to go by.

Great info, currently looking at trading a very low millage 2018 Tacoma in for a 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. the dealership offering incentives the reduce the MSRP from 66,000 to 51,000 but what kills me is thefine print for the incentives states you have to accept dealer ad ons which equate to about 2,186.00 which to me offsets dealer incentives.

So if 51,000 for New Gladiator Mojave seems like its worth it please advise very curious. I like the truck alot but something seems odd truck has been offered for sale on this dealers lot for over 3.5 months and its it was made in 12/22 so its already 1.5 years old .

when I buy this truck and drive it off the lot its already lost 5000 dollars based on average 2023 gladiator mojave price range.

Love to get an opinion
Thanks

I would find a different dealership unless that one has the specific Mojave you want. Not all dealerships push add-ons. The ones that do most of the time if you tell them you are not going to pay it and walk away from the deal they will either remove it reduce the add-on cost. When I bought mine they wanted $2,500 in add-ons and I told them to kick rocks and eventually they went down to $500 which was worth it at the time to close the deal and get the promotional 1.9% before it ended the next day. It all depends on h

Every zip code is different, but for my zip the 15% rebate is over, now it's 13% rebate.

MaximusTX, thanks for the recommendation unfortunately I'm kind late looking and not many if any 2023's around.
Funny thing was I almost pulled the trigger before 4/1 incentives ended but was concerned about the towing capacity and didn't go forward. Then after mining the internet all the jeep data found where the 4500 limit applies is to the manual trans not the auto. They made it very confusing .
