Paying 25% more per gallon for 25% better MPG sounds like a wash to me... ?I'm getting 24.4 per gallon on 35 inch tires I still enjoy driving it
Fixed it. ?Paying 25% more per gallon for 25% better MPG and not having to regear because of the torque sounds like a win.......?
Nice pun.Let’s add more gasoline into fire… how many members on this forum with diesel clocking 100k miles plus without issues?
I know my answer doesn't technically qualify. But I had one at 43k and current one at 30K and didn't have issues with either of them!Let’s add more gasoline into fire… how many members on this forum with diesel clocking 100k miles plus without issues?
This is why you are banned from the O thread.Mine has been a total train wreck. I ain't got any problems. Feels like I'm missing out on something.

So you put about 100k on a 21 gladiator?Being a previous ecodiesel owner they are junk in my opinion. I sang praises until I had total engine failure at 34k miles. Replacement engine lasted twice as long!
Agreed, not to mention most people aren’t choosing the diesel to save money. When it works, which a vast majority do consistently as evidenced by polls and anecdotes on this site, the driving experience is much better. Nearly 200 more foot pounds of torque moves the JT around like it isn’t a heavy, aerodynamically challenged brick. Doesn’t change the laws of physics but does most tasks (within reason) effortlessly. Any MPG impact is icing on the cake or par for the course, depending on current local fuel cost economics.Fixed it. ?
Sorry man, hopefully this thread will knock the sting down a notch or two.Guess it's better to be the ass hole than the whole ass. Which I may add....you my fellow Jeep Gladiator owner suck. Mine took a shot @4581! But thanks for making us ???
I have a Ram Ecodiesel (Gen 1, or 2, depending on how you count). Do I get a say? I had zero problems until the emissions flash. I loved it! Then I had cold engine turbo lag that I was given $3,000 to put up with. So life was good. I didn't have a real problem until ~125,000 miles when the intake manifold sooted up. That was replaced under warranty. I would've ordered a JTRD if the tow rating was better, in spite of diesel fuel running $1 more per gallon. I'm expecting that to correct itself once Putin loses his war in Ukraine.Let’s add more gasoline into fire… how many members on this forum with diesel clocking 100k miles plus without issues?
