Man how can someone not dig the industrial, purposeful presence of these beasts. I will take these over the plastic fantastic BS we get today.

You could remove that horrendous, vomit inducing nose and replace it with a normal truck nose, and it would still be industrial, purposeful, bad-ass AND look cool.

I've been looking for a grille like the old school gladiator grille ever since I first saw that Quadratec giveaway. It looks sweet. I love it. I'm sure when someone finally releases one it's going to be overpriced though. Here's another one with the retro front end. I am pretty sure you can watch the build of this Gladiator on Stacy David's Gearz... I believe it started life out as a different "Search and Rescue" purpose build.

Be thankful Quadratec or Besttop got rid of all the hideous bumpers and bed rack

In my 20s and early 30s if you would of asked me about these trucks, I would of been "who cares" but as I get a little age on me and I begin to see the forest beyond the trees. It really is beautiful to see honestly designed hard working iron meant to carry out a days work with no excuses. Those trucks were designed with one purpose in mind "getr done!"

I like the bumper on that. Wife and I have talked about having front and rear fab'd with all the cutouts for sensors, etc.

OP - it is the same grill/hood from this thread, but they don't have it listed on their website and their facebook page is now gone. The kits were like $5K and impossible to get a hold of.

Yeah I threw out 3200 dollars when I talked to them and they basically told me to go pound sand. At that point I figured they were not going to build kits, they were just one off offerings.

There were a few offerings of the design but it was very unclear who was making them, where to buy them or how much. You would think that once you got the first one done, making X number of 'glass copies would be as easy as knocking it through the moulds etc. Jeff Scherb made a nose from a FSJ clip, all cut and welded metal and I can understand that it takes a clip to make a clip in that case but otherwise, like many 'glass parts it's a matter of making it happen.

5K buys me a lot of isocynate foam board, kevlar weave and west epoxy.

Man I would love to get a hold of this front end or this truck.

I think that bumper is a disservice to that front end. Needs a more toned down bumper.

I'm embarrassed that my favorite brand really released that to the public once upon a time.

While I do get a kick with what you wrote, I do have to say, had the new Gladiator looked like that from the factory I would have bought that. Got my JTR and won't be doing that just for cosmetic purposes. Jeep already got me with a cool looking hood, but I am bummed it's only cosmetic.
