Update Guys: I “caved in” and traded the new Ram for a fully loaded Rubicon Gladiator yesterday. The fever really never went away and I guess I just wanted the Gladiator too much, so bought it with a fair trade-in on the Ram 1500 and decent enough price I could live with from Ed Murdock Superstore in Lavonia, GA. I can’t say enough nice things about Johnny Murdock and the super friendly staff there. They let me drive the Gladiator unattended and treated me like a first class customer. Anyway, I couldn’t be happier and haven’t thought twice about it since doing the deal. Moving on to the mod phase now. See pictures below and posing next to the wife’s 75th Anniversary JK and also next to my brothers J-10. Cool picture with the old and new!

Got another for the lulz. Went to Bayway CJDR in Pasadena, TX to look at a white Rubicon Gladiator that was spec'd out exactly like what I ordered a few weeks ago. Salesperson comes out and asks what I'm checking out and I told him I had already ordered one from another dealer. He inquired as to why I didn't order from them and I told him because they couldn't touch my price. He said, "well yeah, everyone is charging over MSRP" and I replied, "no, not everyone". He asked what I'm paying for my order and I told him 4% below invoice and he said, "yeah, I can't touch that" and then promptly walked away.

Anyway, here is a sticker for an Overland they have out front. I especially love how nothing is broken down by price on the extras, it's all just lumped together with the market adjustment.

I would avoid Boerne Jeep in TX. They get you in by stating they have the best prices in a 500 mile radius. They forget to include the dealer add-ons which are usually $2k+.

They had wheel locks for $250, the cheapest running boards imaginable listed for $1,000, etc.

South of Boerne in San Antonio it's pretty much the same story with overpricing on gladiators I have now started the process of looking out of the state for my gladiator.

I live in Fair Oaks Ranch and looked in San Antonio before placing an order with Steve (@Scar4181 here on the forums) with Mac Haik CDJR in Georgetown. Steve has been great to work with. I have listed his info below. Let him know John C sent you.

That’s who I went with as well. Got tired of playing games with all these dealerships in Houston.
