Def fill? 2100 miles?

i am at about 2500 miles and I have just below 50% left in the DEF tank.

Well I’m not sure who had said it but someone had mentioned it could take a couple of times filling it up for it to settle down and as I’m rounding 8000 miles I can tell you it’s lasting longer on my third fill. I am at 2000 miles and I’m barely at 3/4 still available.

i got almost 3500 miles before i got the 500 mile DEF warning. guage was showing just a little under 1/4 tank of DEF remaining. i added 2.5 gallons, guage now reads a little over 3/4 tank. BUT......i just had a DEF system malfunction/service message pop up. anybody know what causes the service def system light to come on? it has been quite cold but it has been for several days/weeks now.

If your dash is showing the digital speed in the middle, using the left control pad/arrows on the steering and press the down arrow once and then the left arrow once should get you to the DEF fluid level screen

My DEF was only have full when I received mine, and around 2500 miles I got an alert. I put in 2gallons and it got me another 2000 miles before the alert came on. I then put in 2.5 gallons and have a touch over 6k on it and it is just above the warning zone

I think it is because we are lifted and we are using additional DEF. Mine seems to drink that stuff also

Never mind! Found it... never knew those screens existed thanks for letting me know

568 miles DEF at 85% or so

I thought I had high usage and figured I would from my driving. I am living where it is around 0 F most nights and I drive short trips. I ended up having some codes thrown for a Def heater and the def pump was replaced. I had topped my def tank off at a known mileage out of a pump and after this replacement I topped off again. I had used 3 gallons in 2700 miles. At $2.59 it was $7.77. Or 0.00287 cents per mile.

I had the same thing happen, just wasn’t filled up when I took delivery. Everything is good to go now

Ok update. I just finished a 2200 mile trip. 90% freeway. I filled up the DEF tank to the top. I pulled into home last night and got the alert I have 300 or so miles left of DEF. I have reported to Dealer for their input. Something is not right having to fill DEF every 2000 miles.

What kind of gas mileage are you getting? I have 2000 on the clock and still way over half full. I would think I easily will get 4000 miles on the first tank.

I just rolled over 9000 miles and I’m at 19.2 miles to the gallon. And now my DEF has definitely slow down it’s usage
