My new ‘22 Sport S has the proximity key locking/unlocking feature. The UNLOCK function works great, but when I park and get out of the thing and push the little button on the door handle to LOCK it, it does nothing for a few seconds. If I stand there and keep pushing it, eventually the horn beeps and I hear the doors lock. Why the delay? I’ve only had it a few weeks - and I want to say it didn’t do this when I first got it… it would lock immediately… but maybe I’m remembering it wrong. Is there a setting somewhere that affects it? Maybe I’ve changed something without realizing the implications. ?
I realize I could just push the lock button on the INSIDE of the door panel as I’m getting out (or use the lock button on the key fob) to avoid this issue, but if I get into the habit of doing that, what’s the point of having the proximity key and the button on the door handle? Any ideas? Not a big deal, but slightly annoying. Thanks
