You're welcome. Very glad I could help! Thanks for implanting torx bits and cat assholes into my subconscious.
Golly what did I miss lol. Hold onto ancient big words just because people are lazy but you want a car that self drives and does everything for you....hmmmI recently had to spend a couple weeks driving a couple of regular cars after almost a year of Tesla ownership. It's simply annoying. You never realize how many dozens of friction points cars cause simply because they are outdated, old-think, and holding onto ancient skeuomorphs just because people are lazy and fearful. But then you drive something that eliminates that garbage and realize how cars SHOULD be in 2022. Keys are stupid.
If you own any car made in the last 15 years or so, you’re being tracked. If you own a cell phone or computer, you’re being tracked. The single fact that you’re able to participate on this forum shows that you’re fine being tracked and monitored, since you have a device to access it. But key fobs are where you draw the line? I hope you’re old enough that you won’t soon need to make the choice between driving at all, and your fear of technology. Things change. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s progress.Golly what did I miss lol. Hold onto ancient big words just because people are lazy but you want a car that self drives and does everything for you....hmmm
Like I said in what must be a deleted post...I'm all for convenience so long as it's actually 'you're car' and not connected to the hive by thin air where anyone, or any computer (ai), can take control at any time. If they come with that true disconnect then there's merit you may actually be able to own and operate 100% your very own electric car lol, if they don't disconnect from the hive then it was never really your car...yet you paid for it.
Bring back 100% ownership and control over our vehicles please, keys pretty much the occams razor solution ("the problem-solving principle that entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity"). RFID chips for push button connectivity, um don't we absorb enough waves already? Connectivity to other peoples computers etc. Bad idea for liability in piloting 2.5 tons of road missile. Who's actually liable with 'your' Tesla should you, or it, crash? How would you not be able to prove it wasn't jacked?
My life a little more valuable to me than handing over control of 2.5 tons of potential death to just anyone. Wanna run my entertainments system?...sure, risk level acceptable.
You'll never even catch me inside a Tesla, show me the full disconnect feature then maybe. 100% ownership as well as care and control option please.
Some how this thread has evolved into a cautionary tale of BIG BROTHER. The original poster just wanted to covert from Push Button Start to Key Ignition just to get rid of a bulge in his pocket. If you own any car made in the last 15 years or so, you’re being tracked. Yep. The OP has a manual, and thinks it may be faster in a stall situation to restart it. And then several members went right towards the evils of electronics in modern vehicles. Forums, good information to be had, so I guess we have to live with the silly stuff. Some how this thread has evolved into a cautionary tale of BIG BROTHER. I assume you do not run Windows or any Microsoft products, right? No google, Linux only? No Apple, no Android?Golly what did I miss lol. Hold onto ancient big words just because people are lazy but you want a car that self drives and does everything for you....hmmm

My laptop bag makes my wife’s purse look like a child’s wallet. Also I'm kinda offended by his comment about men don't use purses. I'm a man that last time I checked and I use a "Purse" aka small messenger bag. I got shit to carry man.
They are actually in style in some areas. You see a lot of men carrying such things in other countries. Also I'm kinda offended by his comment about men don't use purses. I'm a man that last time I checked and I use a "Purse" aka small messenger bag. I got shit to carry man.
You seem to think anyone actually cares where you go enough to track you. Big brother doesn’t give two blanks where you are. He watches interesting things. The bigger brother to the one you’re referring to is big data. The tracking that knows what you’ll likely buy if you see the ad. If you don’t want to be tracked, stop using every online search engine. If you end up someday with a car that has self driving capabilities, turn it off. Or don’t buy one. But just because technology is available, doesn’t mean you need to use it. No one is missing anything. And no one is oppressing you, except maybe you.shadow you argued for and against in the same reply, although I doubt your intention, yup we've let big brother in everywhere, I draw the line at my vehicular control capabilities, can't really kill me or restrict my movements through my phone or my computer...yet, track you bet, all part of the bigger picture y'all missin here, but that's ok, we are trained to defend our oppressors, it's a lifelong thing ya see
Negative ghost rider, thread started with more than that, still on topic, easy to find post #1.Some how this thread has evolved into a cautionary tale of BIG BROTHER. The original poster just wanted to covert from Push Button Start to Key Ignition just to get rid of a bulge in his pocket.
Shows how far behind you are in your understanding of where this all leads, you think you're first. It's all under control though, all being exposed now, can't really miss it, unless you purposely choose to. Big brother has been playing a far bigger scope and longer game than you can wrap head around, it takes awhile to figure it all out. It's your journey to take though, been there, done that. Get to it whenever you'd like to be more prepared in a room...or not.You seem to think anyone actually cares where you go enough to track you. Big brother doesn’t give two blanks where you are.
