You could have just said "gatekeeping"
I was legitimately just curious, I don't care what folks do with their rigs (it's their stuff!). I have come across folks in the muscle car world who get so excited because they just bought a (insert whatever trim here) only to find out it was a clone (sometimes a good one, sometimes a really poor one). I doubt this was the case here though, probably just someone who liked the rubicon look but not the price lol.

My front bumper came with red tow hooks. I have an Overland. The outrage would have been fierce if I didn’t swap my black tow hooks onto it.

I'm curious, but outrage from who? I have a Rubicon and I am planning to take the red hooks off once I decide what color to replace them (debating white, black, or to match them to my hydro blue). Already swapped out the Trail Rated Badge and Decals. The color doesn't mean anything. I'm trying to de-redify my Jeep. Glad the 2024s didn't come with the Red Dash.

My front bumper came with red as well - but I swapped in the black ones because the red ones were Chinese and not that perfect.

A guy on the AMC forum pretty much freaked out, lost it, when I said "I got a great deal on a 2nd gen Javelin/AMX spoiler still on the deck lid!"
I think it was like 50 bucks - and those things sell for 200-300.
He said "you aren't actually going to install that on your Javelin, are you? You can't, it's not a real AMX!".
I never said I was going to do that, just that I got a great deal.
Now that I'm thinking about it typing this - yeah, I think I will, and I'll take a picture and post it there for him to see! HA

Not sure if my orange accents and hooks will stay on the new one or not - not really keen on the orange and my wife has asked "why in the world did they use ORANGE"?
It's pretty easy to paint things black. For that matter, maybe I'll remove the hooks and powder coat them Mojito!

I like orange, but only as accent. It looks good as an accent on on the Mojave’s IMO.

If my Jeep had anything else red on them, I might have kept them.

I like the orange accents on the Mojave, but I have embraced red too.

For me it depends on the body color. They don't work very well with the hydro blue, IMO, but work great for certain other body colors.
We'll see, but I may "de-orange" mine eventually.

Funny, I started to paint the tow hooks on mine orange, but found a caramel brown paint I liked better. Then the Mojave was announced a few weeks later and I did install the second rear tow hook. Carmel brown along with the Max-Tow sticker...
Well, I got red on the inside of my Rubicon sonI stick the red , I have no Idea what the Rubicon trail is never heard of it.
Any one who has a serious off road spirit probably been on stuff tougher than a trail I never heard of anyhow .. enough about that. I think I am getting red rims to go with the red hooks

The only orange on the exterior are the tow hooks and lettering. I've already swapped out my front bumper. I may do the rear bumper. I will probably never change the lettering on the hood and tailgate.
