If you're going to take a road trip and wish you had purchased ACC....then dont settle. If you plan to keep this truck for a long time~ DONT settle. If you dont want black but you do want the extra features I agree with everyone who says hunt down the exact combination you want. This is an expensive vehicle. You only want to buy it once!

Agree all above. Adding - this has zero to do with 57 bucks, make the decision on the merits, primarily the smile part of the equation

Having just sold a very well built JKU, so that I could purchase a Gladiator has been an eye opener for me. I spent 4 years and lots of money to make my JKU into a "Rubiclone" and only recuperated a fraction of the dollars invested. My point is this, get exactly, and I mean exactly what you want so there will be no regrets!

Yup. Skip a few Starbucks stops each month and you're in the money!
Good advice only I refuse to pay Starbucks outrageous prices for a cup of coffee I can make at home therefore don't make Starbucks stops. But I get your logic.

The only item I wish I had was ACC. Drove one up north with it in stop and go traffic for 120 miles. Very chill.

I’m in Florida. Ordered black. Ordered heated seats. Got the leather. I’ve had all color vehicles, and black is no hotter than the next; they’re all hot. Blast air, windows down a minute regardless of color. Remote start really does help (didn’t order that) but have it on my gray Sierra right now). Haven’t used or ordered the ACC, but I would not base any decision on black; imo it looks better than other colors when dirty (mudded up!; its a Jeep!) For that price difference it’s not much per month. It seems you’ll get a lot more for 57/month; but again it’ll cost you that extra. Is it a lot- no; but it may push your comfort of payment out of budget. I don’t want more than 400/month so I’m putting hefty down payments (buying not financing). Over 400 and I won’t be happy; regardless of trim.

I'm checking out of here. It's been fun dreaming about a Gladiator. I solved my dilemma. I swung by the Honda dealer on my way home from work and bought a Ridgeline. Fully loaded and AWD for about $15,000 cheaper.

HUH, are you serious on comparison shopping lol wow to say the least. Just can’t see how this even makes much sense......but no being mean cause if that’s what makes you happy great. But the Gladiator is only one of a kind in the whole wide world and we all waited for it soo many years damn but I understand so best of luck..

LOL that was a strange 180. I was gonna say the color choice is subjective and you get what makes you happy. Regarding the other features if you feel you can't live without something like ACC - that can't be added later so you needed to swap the vehicle but anything you can add later I would say roll with it.

But, a Honda Ridgeline? LOL c'mon man... I guess that's that :CWL:. I just don't get it... If you wanted to save $15k that is fine, either that or maybe you were just underwhelmed with the Gladiator after the wait - that kinda happened to me even though I have my LE but I didn't have that euphoric feeling when I picked it up after waiting for 3.5 months and I have driven it for 191 miles so far LOL. I haven't really got to enjoy it as I am in the middle of the move but I just don't comprehend why you would get a Ridgeline?

Just kidding ladies and gents.

Just kidding ladies and gents. I decided on the black. I searched the entire state of Florida for a Firecracker Red with the black leather interior and there was only one which was at the same dealer I purchased from but had another $1000 in extras (hardtop headliner and body colored matching hardtop) that I didn't care for. I really grew fond of the black after having my mind set on the FC Red for at least the past 3 months. I realize the maintenance on the black will be a little more intense than it would be on the red but I really liked the black leather interior more than the tan leather and I wasn't prepared to wait for another custom build.

Currently I don't have any vehicles with fancy features like ACC as they're too old, but I've rented a vehicle or two with it for 1500+ mile road trips and man it was nice. I fully intend to take my JT on some looooong trips and those extra features will make them less arduous. I say go for it, your dealer will have no problem selling your ordered truck if they can't strike a deal trading it for the one you want. You're not gonna have buyer's remorse when you're using those heated seats and ACC.
