Ordered the weather tech mud guard fronts today. One would think by now weather tech would have the rear mud flaps available for the max tow JTs. Not so.

They probably don't think they would see enough demand to do a new mold to fit the extra lip on the max tow fenders (but maybe they would?) I had the WT rear mudflaps on my JTR and they wrap pretty far around the fender lip (see first picture below). They'd need to create a new mold to accommodate this section for the MT fenders. I added fender extensions and ended up having removing the WT rear flaps - at least for now. When it gets warmer out I'll probably break out the dremel tool and see if can make the fit without making them look like a failed third grade art project.

First picture shows the rear mud flaps fit. Second one shows how the fender extensions fit, causing me to have to remove the mud flaps.

Another vote for the Weathertech guards. Stock Mojave 33" tire size/stock 1" lift. They work and fit awesome. I like the molded look of them. Made specifically for the JT with pockets for the stock rock rails. RokBlokz look too generic IMO.

which ones did you order since they don't offer a Mojave specific model?

The ones for the Rubicon work perfectly since the standard rock rails are identical to the Mojave. IF you have optional heavy-duty rails or side steps, they will not work.

yeah after looking at the pics I kind of figured the side steps made this one a no go.

thanks for the reply!

I have a Mojave too. Which model did you get? (For Rubicons?) I ordered a set ( for Rubicons ) on Amazon after watching a YouTube video ?. They didn’t fit and I had them past the return date, so they are still in my garage.

The funny thing is that once I discovered that the Rubicon guards would fit the Mojave because of the identical standard rock rails, I emailed them the information. They still haven't changed the website to include the Mojave in their application. This was nearly a year ago.

Guess they are not concerned about additional sales.

Yes, ordered for the Rubicon application. Mine fit fine. They will fit perfectly if your Mojave has the standard rock rails (because they are the same as the Rubi rails). If you have optional heavy-duty rails or step bars, they won't fit.

I have a Mojave, installed the XL Rokblokz , they really do the job, mud flaps may look a little tacky, better than chipped and rusty hinges. I had homemade flaps on my JTR and after 45k miles the sides of it still looked new , there was a few marks in the protective film on the rear fender flares but it was minor, I have to say the Rokblokz are a little expensive but worth every penny.

Hmmmmm…. will need to try it again. I had called WT, they really were not helpful and told me I need to talk to who sold me the item?. Thank you. Appreciate it ??

i got a good 'open box' deal on a 4 set of Husky mudflaps #17101 (non-specific vehicle) steel uppers and 1/2" rubber on the bottom, i will have to mod them to fit, waiting on better weather to install. WT and RBz were out of my price range up here.

With the last round of snow we had and how much junk was sprayed all over my Jeep I broke down and bought a set of WeatherTech flaps. Install of the rears was a breeze, the fronts were pretty easy except for one nut/bolt... always has to be one ;) May consider installing the recon fenders, just not sure those will provide the coverage without a different running boards.
