I preferred the Mojave over the Rubi but for one thing. I could not order the brown leather saddle seats for the Moje.
Get cloth and let katzkin take care of the rest

Complete deviation from the topic, but due to the dealership I worked for at the time, I got to drive about a dozen STS-Vs. Probably put about 50 miles on each one I drove because they'd send me to pick them up from other dealers.

That was a fucking awesome car.

What I like the most about my decision was the special edition man taint tickler that comes standard on the Mojave. Only requirement? Hitting a 4 foot kicker at around 35 MPH!! WOW, does that ever tickle!!! ?
I have both the 22' Rubicon 2 door and the 22' Mojave. I drive the Mojave, wife drives the Rubicon. She likes the Rubicon better and I like the Mojave better. No regrets.

8 months in and I still love this thing. I had originally looked at the Rubicons but the Mojave really stuck with me and once I test drove one it was set. I got a fantastic deal on it so zero regrets… Even though for the cost it should have come with LED lighting package. Woof, guys.

I’m still having a blast customizing it and making it mine. I hope to keep it forever.

Anyone know why Jet_83 got banned? His answers in this thread seem pretty normal.
Probably because of what 90% of us feel is “pretty normal” makes the other 10% (which seems to be who most of our mods and admin are), run out screaming at the sky and pulling their pink and green man buns out.
I’m on forums across all walks of life and while I enjoy this one immensely I can say with certainty that it, and JL, are by far the worst when it comes to being moderated by those who don’t seem to have a clue as to the demographics of their memberships.

I’m just referring to his “I don’t love my Mojave” posts. If there are other issues I was/am unaware.

Seen jets interactions with a lot of people, and even had a few with him myself. He was generally combative, confrontational, and unpleasant. I've been a large public forum mod before. He hadn't done anything I would have banned him for that i saw, but if I were a mod he definitely would have been on my radar. Who knows what the straw the broke the camels back was. Probably something very few people got to see before it was deleted and he was banned.

I’ve also been a moderator on a couple of forums and I do concur that he had a way, and those things usually sort themselves out before drastic intervention is called for.
I obviously don’t view every thread on this forum but the ones I did see involving him would have gotten him banned nowhere else but here.
Hell I got banned, and branded a racist, for posting a poster that is hanging in the hallways of the schools of our children and grandchildren. Funny the power that some people possess.

As a recent purchaser of a Jeep Gladiator Mojave... I can definitely say no regrets so far....

Back story.... I've driven jeeps for more than half my driving life. Started with my Dad's borrowed 82 CJ7... fell in love with the whole jeep topless doorless vibe. Bought a brand new '87 Wrangler (10 yrs 245K mikes), a new '97 wrangler (8+ years) then KIDS. Drove the original 4door unlimited and decided to switch to crew cab pickups.

Fast forward to now... drive by the local Mini dealer and there sits a 2021 Mojave in the (I think) gorgeous Gobi color. We've been thinking about the vehicle since it was introduced but never got around to test driving it (and the $$$ is a bit crazy!).

So my wife... decides we (SHE!) needs to go test drive this beast. She just happened to drive a BMW 428i convertible (same dealer group as the Mini) at the time.

I was confident of two things.... A. We (she!) wouldn't care for the ride of the decidedly off road Mojave and B. the dealer would not give us a decent trade on the BMW. I (we!) were wrong in both cases. I could not believe how nice the truck handled even with the M/T tires and the soft-top. And the deal breaker was when they offered us about 30-40% more for the BMW trade-in. We bought the truck right then.

After a month or so We (She!) is thrilled with the truck. It's simply the best Jeep CJ, Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited vehicle I've driven. The road noise is present but not obnoxious and the Sunrider soft-top is well designed , easy to open and close (man-bun references aside!). We also have the three piece hard top, but frankly may not use it. I towed my 19' bassboat 200 miles with it and it towed very well!

So... needless to say... we have no regrets shortly into our ownership. I have a loaded 2019 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition pickup... and I fear I have a bit of truck envy!

Cheers...

Gusman

Thanks for posting the advice. I considered that seat option. And as we all know, it's one that can be changed if needed. I once bought a soft top TJ back in the day expecting assignment orders to Florida, only to end up with orders to Alaska where I had to trade in for a hardtop with a three week deadline. Alaska is not the best weather for a soft top.
