The hitch is the hitch. Max tow has better cooling, 4.10 rear end, etc.Are the hitches the same or different?
...wider...All OEM tow packages in the Gladiator have the same heavy duty generstor, added cooling, and use the same hitch receiver assembly. The Max Tow package on a Sport adds longer axles front and back, the 4.10 rear end and heavy duty progressive springs and shocks, which allows for the increase in towing capacit.
cheers
High Altitude (North edition) has this stupid class II hitch standard..If your JT came factory with a towing package, it has a Class IV receiver hitch.
If your JT did NOT come factory with a towing package, it does NOT have a Class IV receiver hitch.
Trim level has nothing to do with the Class IV receiver hitch, option groups do.
I don't know how or why a Class II bumper hitch is included, but some have these factory.
Both the Class IV and Class II are attached to a rear cross member that ties the frame rails together and strengthens the rear end.
