My tires are rotated frequently at the dealer with every oil change, including the spare. Therefore, I would suppose that the spare has a TPMS. It is an interestering questioon, so next time i'm in I will ask.Searched but didn’t see anything that said if the spare actually has a TPMS in it??
TIA...
So you have a matching aluminum rim on your spare? My tires are rotated frequently at the dealer with every oil change, including the spare. Therefore, I would suppose that the spare has a TPMS. It is an interestering questioon, so next time i'm in I will ask.
Thanks, I will address this with my dealer; however, when I check the dash readout (Mine is a Rubicon), it gives me the pressure in all four tires currently on the road and I know they are rotating the spare because I watched them do it. Thanks for the input....Stock JT from the factory, does not have a TPMS in the spare.
Mine is matching... It just came that way from the dealer......So you have a matching aluminum rim on your spare?
Was that an option?
Thought they all came with a steelie.
This one has the same wheels.
Our Wrangler has the Wrangler optional Rubicon wheels that also cost the same $995. (so maybe it does include 5)What about a wrangler has the same wheel and tire on the back I’ve had my tires rotated I think it must have a TPMS sensor otherwise it would show a fault
This is what I found also. My 2019 JLU had a matching spare with TPMS. My 2021 JT does not.All JK's/JL's have the same 5th wheel and TPMS. Most JT's come with a steel rim/no TPMS as its hidden.
I replaced my OEM steel spare wheel with a takeoff Gladiator OEM Charcole Rim 6KC87TRMAA and added a tire pressure sensor 68464665AB, so I could do a 5-tire rotation.Yes, your JT knows exactly which rim is where, usually within seconds of a tire rotation for example. Yes, It's all done automatically.
The JT, does not have a TPMS sensor in the spare, but you can add one... but it is not read by a chassis sensor/ considered by the computer until it is placed in one of the 4 tire positions.
