I saw plans online somewhere to build a cart out of PVC pipe. I might go that route so I can wheel them around to keep them out of the way. I think it was like 30 bucks to build.
I dont know if i would trust pvc pipe to hold all my 4 doors.. sounds sketchy.

Like the way these hold the doors- but am I the only one who sees themselves throwing a tantrum after accidentally walking into them while they're empty?
It literally sticks 1 foot off the wall. Who walks that close to their garage wall? If you only have 1 foot or limited walkway in your garage then this is not going to work for that.

I didnt realize it was only a foot- not so bad, though with my luck and grace Im sure I could still make that injury happen! Wall space is probably my bigger issue- my 30x40 holds my JT, wifes JL, boat, 2 atvs, and my John Deere 3320- along with its 5ft tiller, post hole digger, loader with 6ft bucket and 72” mid mount mower. Not to mention tool chests, storage shelving, both our hardtops, kayaks etc... Its like a big jigsaw puzzle. My wall space is used mostly for tool storage and parking the atvs and tractor so they are out of the way. Maybe I wouldnt walk into it but I bet I’d take it and the stud its on out with something. I dont doubt its a great product, just wouldnt work for me. I built the hardtop storage cart shown in several threads here and will store the doors in it, but adding pvc divider within the cart to prevent doors touching.

picked up these hangers, ready to install but they don't include hardware to install. I believe lag bolts are the way to do it however I'm not even ear what size/spec lag bolts to pickup. Anyone else install this hanger?

As a contractor i would suggest you don't use to big of a lag bolt as you are only screwing them into a single 1.5" stud. A big diameter lag will split the stud an not hold the rack.
My suggestion would be a 1/4" or 5/16" diameter lag. I would Also pre drill a hole with a bit a few sizes smaller. Use a washer if the hole in the rack is bigger.
For length, i would use a 2" or 2.5" bolt.
Make sure you hit the exact center of the stud.
Good luck! I have not hung mine yet.

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it. I'll be installing the bracket most likely later this week.

Just put this together tonight. Still have to put on the foam and secure it to the furniture dollys. Probably got around a hundred bucks in it all together. And most of it is in the silly foam. I’ll finish it tomorrow. I just laid the plywood on there cause I had it laying around. I’ll probably secure a piece that actually fits there to make it solid.

I made a PVC one for my JK doors. It always holds a set of doors because I have half and full doors. Even moved with my half doors in it inside one of those Pods with no problems. It’s almost 6 years old and no problems.

OCR bracket looks simple and I like how the doors lay close to the wall. That could be a lot of force on the welds; I'd like to see a triangle brace from one corner to the opposite corner. You could probably DIY bolt one in just as some added insurance.

I rememebr the JK doors were surprisingly heavy. I haven't taken them off the JT yet. Are they much lighter than the JK doors? Aluminum? (JK's sure felt like steel).

I really like the designs of the brackets because they hold on the hinges. I usually just take the fronts off because the dogs go in back. However, my garage is all slatwall, and the express purpose of using slatwall is to not put permanent holes in the wall. Wish they made a slatwall version.

I think I'm having a user error situation. Attempting to hang gladiator doors on the ORC hangers. Front doors hang fine but I can't get both rear doors situated. The small metal piece that bolts to the inside of the door. Each rear door bumps into the other so I can at this time only hang one.

I'm probably missing something simple here.
