Shop called, edit Drag link, pitman arm is “not good” not bad per se, but they are doing other work and right there labor is a wash.

I do tow I do wheel.

Seems early for that to be “bad”. I have no symptoms of any issues at all. But for cost of just the part I’m figuring just have them do it.

Pitman arm? Do they mean the drag link where it attaches to the pitman arm?

Yeah, that should be warranty regardless of what it is at 22K miles and a 2021 model.

My drag link was replaced under warranty at 2x,000 miles. I didn’t even know it was worn, but I quit getting clunks when I went over speed bumps and stuff

I'd get a second opinion.

Only 3 things that can go wrong on a pitman arm, splines worn out, hole for drag link worn out, cracked/broken arm.

If it's actually the drag link connection and it's still factory, upgrade time.

Yes, sorry Drag link.

No warranty as it’s supercharged and has had other front end suspension stuff.

So it’s not unreasonable for there to be some wear?

I always upgrade at 20 to 30k miles when you have 35’s or 37’s the factory nonserviceable tie-rod and drag-link starts getting slop, every JK,TL and JT I’ve had.

Were you getting any kind of indication that the link was bad? I had a clunk in my steering wheel and a dead spot. Took it into the dealer (with heavily modified suspension I might add), and they found that the steering box had come loose from the frame. Tightened it back up free of charge and I was on my way.

The drag link on my wife's JLU was bad at 14k when I bought it used. It is the High-Tide addition, so it is lifted with 35s on it from the factory. I replaced it with a Yeti.

I think the factory drag links wear out quicker with 35s or larger...

I found play in my drag link where it attaches to the passenger wheel at about 36,000 miles. The replacement drag link Jeep supplied me had a clunk. I replaced it with a metal cloak, one which had no slop in it whatsoever and it is greaseable. Then I checked several stock versions on new and used rigs. They all had what I thought was excessive play.
