It didn’t say anything about the myth that the ESS system is useful and well designed?
I couldn’t resist! ?
I suffer from a broken ESS so I really don't feel that pain but agree with you wholeheartedly!

I liked the “engine braking” comment. We have a lot of long hills near my home. On occasion I will drive my son’s car (automatic) with the manual shift option. He freaks out every time I use manual mode to engine brake on the hills. He’s convinced I’m going to blow the engine or damage it somehow.

LOL... my sister thought I was going to break her car once because I was driving and used the slap stick mode. I used to drive my compass when I had that as a daily driver in slap stick mode too often when pulling out in traffic, my wife freaked out first couple times I used that too.

You should also polish your chrome muffler bearings every 20,000 miles to ensure proper exhaust flow. Change blinker fluid every 10,000 blinks and most important of all check the. Radio squelch!

“If you keep putting the window up and down, the car will explode”

Wise words from my mom when I was a little kid playing with the window buttons

I always heard GMC's use stainless steel fasteners, Chevy does not. ?

Right up there with "it's illegal to drive with the interior lights on"
I believed that for a very long time. Well past getting my license.

I've heard the myth about driving barefoot since I was a kid. Always kept flip flops in the car just in case. Later on in life I was actually an LEO and learned that it was a BS law but still to this day never leave barefoot without a pair of something with me in the vehicle.

i wont let people drive my jeep in flipflops. I wont drive my jeep in flipflops. You just don't get the same feel on the clutch pedal. and I wont drive barefoot because my foot (as most people's aren't) isn't wide enough to heel/toe without shoes on.

I bring sneakers for driving when i go to the beach.

100% agree. I didn't say I "drove" in them but would merely keep them handy in case I was ever questioned about this fictional shoe ware rule.

I lived for over 20 years in S. FL before S. TX and I don't think I've worn shoes in years outside of work for at least 30. I have been working from home for 4 years so now I don't wear shoes at all. I have the flip flops in the truck for happy hour because spilled beer gets sticky!
