Nice! Sorry if it's a stupid question, but can you explain why you went with 2.5" springs in the front with the adjustable spring seats vs just using the 3.5" coils? Also any reason you decided to go with the Bilsteins vs Fox? Also, did you keep the stock driveshaft? Thank you

I'm using the Clayton 2.5" diesel springs in front with the JKS adjustable spring seats. Clayton 3.5" springs in the rear. The reason for that combo is for later. After adding a winch bumper and winch. I can raise the front back up if it sags too much with the extra weight. For shocks, Bilstein 5100's. Front track bar is a Core, rear track bar is a Clayton to fit a 37"spare. Also using Teraflex geo brackets in the front and rear track bar relocation bracket. The JT sits level
I originally wanted just a 2.5" lift. Didn't realize that the JKS adjustable spring seats would give 2" of lift by themselves. Combine that with the 2.5" Clayton diesel springs. Gave me just over 4" of lift on the front. The adjustable spring seats also have hydraulic bump stops. Plus they are tack welded in place. So the easy way out was to change the rear springs to Clayton 3.5" springs. I'm happy with what I have. Using Core 4x4 track bar, and lower front control arms. A Clayton rear track bar for clearance with a 37" spare. Teraflex front geo brackets and rear track bar relocation bracket. Fox shocks ain't worth the money unless you get them revalved. My Bilstein's are for a 2~3" lift. So that's my limiting factor for now. If I go with longer shocks. Then I would have to go with different drive shafts. So I still have room to grow if I what to. But before I do that. I need to get the rest of the Core 4x4 control arms.

Hello All,

Is anyone running the Rough Country 3.5" lift on your Ecodiesel? If so, did you go with the spacer kit, or the coil kit? I know that Rough Country says you can't use the coil kit on the Ecodiesel because the springs are not rated for the extra weight, but there are a few videos on Youtube of people who installed it and claim that it is just fine.

I am also considering the Clayton 3.5" for diesel, but it's way over my budget, and I am not planning to do any serious wheeling or rock crawling. Also considering doing the Rough Country 3.5" coil kit, but using the Clayton diesel coils on the front instead of the Rough Country coils that come with it. If I did not, I am not sure what shocks I would need.

Thank you for your help.
Where in AZ are you? i have a pair of lightly used rock crawler 3" rear coil springs i can cut you a deal on if you are doing a piecemeal lift.

I run the 3.5 coil kit and a 1” spacer up front. Sits level and rides great. Took it off-road and had it flexing pretty good with no issues too. On rough road at higher speeds it can be pretty rough but that’s the only negative I’ve seen so far
Which spacer did you use in the front? Also what shocks? Thank you

I spoke to my shop about using the RC 3.5" lift and after some checking they told me they didnt think the RC springs were rated for the weight of the diesel. I ended up going with the Teraflex 3.5" lift and Falcon shocks. This combo is easily accommodating 37s on my rig and I am able to fit my 37" spare under the bed with no issue.
