We have had our 2021 Sport EcoDiesel for just a few weeks now.
I used it to pull our 4,000 lb. (dry) camper to the house for some de-winterizing and then put in on the highway for some 65-70 mph cruising to see how it pulled.

My coolant temp seems to normally run ~203 degrees with just the wife and I in the truck.
Pulling the camper at 65-70 mph, the coolant temp stayed around 213 degrees.

Just trying to see if this is what other Gladiator EcoDiesel owners are getting with a similar sized camper.

My camper weighs 3,500 lbs and my temps are right where yours are. I have seen the oil temps hit 235 before.

You guys got me calling RV dealers today! Downsized from Peterbilt 385 and 37' 5th. Really hoping towing performance is decent with a smaller RV and my JTR Eco.

I think the 17'-19' box size camper is a great size for the JTR Eco. You may want/need bigger though. We don't stay in the camper much. No need for recliners or a TV.

I'm looking at 7'x15' box/18' overall with 2650/335lb dry weights........Trying to stay well below tow ratings since I'll have a motorcycle in the back and know GVWR will be exceeded slightly. Last thing I want is a white knuckle experience as that how I progressed from Chevy K25 to Ram 3500 DRW to Peterbilt!

Waiting on the regear till I tow a larger load and evaluate.

Weā€™ve had larger RVā€™s before and wanted something smaller this time. Ours is 22ā€™ from front to back and sure makes it easy to get into the smaller sites.

What is max tow rating? Most models 6000 and 4500 Rubicon? Looks like the hardware is handling the weight without issue though.

I'm guessing we will end up around 10k GCVW and we have 9% grades around here.

Iā€™m sure those oil temps are fine but thatā€™s what I am concerned about. Iā€™m only towing 3,500 lbs and my Overland is rated for 6,500 lbs but the oil temps climb to 236 degrees.

Thst sounds good to me!

Anywhere between 220 and 260 is pretty safe especially with synthetic oil?

JLURD here and just towed this massive parachute 450 miles yesterday. Bad day to do so as we had this cold front coming in with stout winds. We saw our oil temps rise to 250, although trans and coolant temps were not an issue. Even at 250 though the gauge isn't reading high so to say. So I guess the L630 is just designed to run hot?

Ended up drinking through def on the ride though. Just had to add a box at only 2360 miles after the ride.

FYI we normally only tow the trailer with the top on slower roads not highways or interstates. However I was expecting to be outbid on at least 1 of the 2 govplanet auctions I recently bid on. Well I won em both so the trailer had to go on the ride as isšŸ¤£šŸ„²
