The biggest problem I see with the Ecodiesel to any engine swap has been mentioned--new stuff you'll need that you might not even think about. Stuff like...the dash. What does the tachometer go up to on the Ecodiesel--5k? Any V8 should turn that pretty easily.

I recently sold a '21 14K mile Ecodiesel and one of the reasons I sold it was because of the fuel pump recall. Jeep doesn't even have parts for it--what if it explodes and shreds the engine? I asked the local Jeep dealer what the wait is on a new Ecodiesel engine and he told me 1-1.5 years. I work from home and don't necessarily need a car, but I know I'll need one in the next year.

Whatever motor you put in it’s going to have to make 450+ ft lbs near idle to feel like an upgrade.
The ecodiesel has been in rams since 2015 and is still supported. If anything a hemi will lose support. Since it’s falling out of favor.
