I used the MS 5w40 which I also included on the card so not sure what they are looking for.
If you used Amsoil MS, then you would write down Amsoil 5W-40 MS European AFL

im still learning what some of these numbers mean exactly so I apologize but what are you looking at specifically in the results to determine the pennzoil is doing better?
Your analysis is the best report out of everyone who has posted so far. You have the lowest Iron wear, the lowest aluminum wear, and you have the best viscosity. Amsoil MS clearly doesn't shear like some of the other oils. For reference, I posted UOA reports from my Ram 1500 with stock tuning using Pennzoil. This isn't the best comparison since Ram's factory tuning produces more aluminum than Jeep's factory tuning, but you get the idea when comparing iron and viscosity.

Hey all, I would appreciate your input on this latest report. Could this increase in aluminum be caused by the swap to tdt and I just need to run it twice to get the oil to stabilize? So far STP and QS have been my best...

As mentioned before, we see wear metals begin to trend upward on many oils after 5,000 - 6,000 miles. Your report looks fairly normal considering you pushed the oil over 7,000 miles. Amsoil MS will hold up better to those longer intervals and give you lower wear metals. If you want to stick with 5,000 - 6,000 drain intervals, then I would recommend Castrol Euro 5w40. Castrol Euro has repeatedly proven itself in the Gen 3 engine. The only downside with Castrol Euro is that it's not a low-SAPS oil.

Is it now recommended as amsoil ms, Castrol euro, then Pennzoil plat?

Using the same oil. And my aluminum level has been 12, 19, 19, 19, 26, and 22. Wonder if it's the oil.

I'm going to short cycle this at 4500 and sample, run the remaining 3 quarts I have left reading from the sample then switch to something at 6k... The jump imo is alarming even if the mixtures between what I switched from ( stp euro) caused the issue. It's interesting to hear Castrol is rating well. That's easier to swallow than amsoil. Are you on delvac yet?

Amsoil MS is tough to beat. You get a longer interval, lower wear metals, and a lower SAPS oil. Castrol Euro has excellent wear metal protection. I can't see any reason to run Pennzoil Platinum when Castrol Euro is more affordable, easier to get, and performs just as well.

I bought a bunch of Pennzoil when it was being clearanced out, so it will take me another two years to work through it. I'll most likely switch to Amsoil MS once I get through the Pennzoil stash.

HPL has made a few batches of oil for William Stox and a few others to test. So far, it's showing promising results. I think William has gone 20,000+ miles on an interval. It's possible that I might run HPL if they can get it dialed in. I do a lot of towing, so I know William would like me to do some testing for him.

This UOA is with Amsoil 5W-40 Turbo Truck Diesel Oil (not one of the Euro blends). This is the best UOA I've had so far. Before this, I've run Amsoil FS 5W-40 Euro and Hot Shot's Secret MS Gray Diamond 5W-40 Euro. I switched to the Amsoil Turbo Truck because (1) it has lower SAPS than the Chrysler MS-12991 Euro oils, (2) is specifically formulated for diesel applications, whereas the API-SN/Chrysler MS-12991 oils are technically suitable for either gas or diesel applications, and (3) is cheaper than Amsoils FS and MS Euro oils. Based on this result, I'm going to stick with the Turbo Truck stuff long term, as it's obviously the best bang for my buck. I can understand why others would shy away from it though, since it technically doesn't meet OEM specs and could present warranty issues.

Are you using Amsoil 5W40 Heavy Duty or the 5W-40 Signature Series?

I'm using the Heavy Duty. Since my OCIs are 4k - 4.5k miles, it doesn't financial sense to use the Signature Series. If I had a bypass filter and wanted to run 10k -20k mile OCIs, I'd probably go with the Signature Series. But the Heavy Duty seems to work really well for my maintenance habits and is a lot cheaper.
