shitty. Against my better judgment I JUST had this changed at the dealer because I needed to leave town and didn’t have time to change myself. Hopefully they didn’t botch it lolI'd suggest doing an oil change and sending a sample to Blackstone Labs for analysis so you'll have some documentation in case the dealer gives you the classic, "That's a normal sounding engine" or "what ticking sound?'
Have you checked the oil level to see if they over or under filled it? Need to wait 10 minutes after shutoff before checking to get a accurate measure.shitty. Not much they could botch unless they left the oil out.shitty. Against my better judgment I JUST had this changed at the dealer because I needed to leave town and didn’t have time to change myself. Hopefully they didn’t botch it lol
That alone is a problem............... combine that with the ticking, there's likely physical cam/follower damage. The truck feels as if it’s almost shaking a bit while sitting idle.
I assume it’s just that. A deny until either A you can deny anymore or B warranty runs out.Hypothetically, what’s the end result if you just keep driving it…assuming you take to a dealer and they say it sounds normal, then you drive it another 10k miles…at some point isn’t it going to become undeniable or you’ll get a check engine light and then they just have to give you a brand new engine if you are still under the powertrain warranty? Seems like a pay me now or pay me later situation.
