Finally cut the second muffler and resonator. Did a turn down before the axel.
Not a single difference in sound. Best it helps with the heat of the exhaust coming out the back by bumper when I am hooking up trailer.

@TTEChris did this and gained some mpg; curious if you experience the same.

I’m starting to think it was just perfect weather that day driving home. I am still averaging 25mpg or so with 37x13.50 KM3’s at 27psi, but the day I removed those mufflers I pulled off over 28mpg on the same commute home I always take(75% highway, 25% city.)
I also have under 600 miles so some of what I’m experiencing could just be the motor breaking in. I am however extremely happy to be getting anywhere near 25mpg with 37s. 🍻

Here’s mine, I like how you kept the rear hanger. I opted not to because I wanted to dump mine a little further forward and there really wasn’t any weight on my setup after that last hanger.

Makes you wonder the purpose of the second muffler and resonator when their removal makes no difference. Also what gears you running to get 25mpg with 37s? I woukd say thats pretty remarkable and about 25% better than just about everyone else running 37s.

Stock gears until my axles arrive in late January.

I think driving style is a big part of it. Even when I had my supercharged 3.6l on 41s and heavy fusion axles I was averaging 14-15mpg when my business partner with his 2.0t on a near identical axle/tire setup(JL) was getting around 9-10mpg. I drive fairly slow/steady in my Jeeps, where as he drives it the same way he would one of his previous sports cars.

One thing I’ve also noticed when the temps dropped to near freezing last week (in Houston) my MPG also dipped a bit. Now that we are back in the 60s it seems to be creeping back up.

I agree, I'm curious of the gears he's running because if its 3.73 or 4.10. I'm calling BS. I'd even think it's hard to get mileage like that with any gears unless it's a diesel. He would be the only one I know who has ever done it and got mileage like that. Some are having problems getting over 20 with these truck stock.

What reason do I have to lie about my MPG’s? I didn’t purchase a Jeep or the Diesel for fuel savings. I absolutely love the torque and always wanted a Diesel wrangler since my first JK in 2012.
It’s an absolute bonus that my gas mileage is what it is. I fully expect that to drop down to around 15mpg once my new axles arrive and I get the bigger tires mounted.

Ok if it's a diesel I can maybe see it then. You never said that.

Yeah there was some movement so we decided to keep the hanger. Insure like it here though. Much better than after the axel.

I am on 4:88 and still deciding if this is the best. I’m getting 21 ISh at 70mph on a flat surface. Was getting 18 ish pulling my trailer last weekend.

Jeezus, you must own a Line X franchise! If not how much did all that cost? That a lot of prep work and material. Looks great! What color was the JT to begin with? Did you also remove the carpet and do the interior?
