First Oil Change Eco Deisel

So I go to the dealer for 1st complimentary oil service.

After about 45 mins they tell me no Oil filters in the country and will not have any until August.

Are you kidding me?

What are all my Eco Deisel friends doing?

Not an ecodiesel owner. But damn that really blows! Go talk to the parts guy there? Maybe he can find one that's non OEM for them to use?

That could definitely be the case, at my last oil change they had to get one from one of the other Jeep Dealers in town (all are owned by the same group)

I'd suggest finding one elsewhere. Jeep isn't going to care that the dealer couldn't provide an oil filter when you go over your oil change mileage if you have any engine problems at 99k miles.

What I wanna know is why are there Chinese knock-off filters out there, Mopar filters, and THAT'S IT. Why no aftermarket filters = Wix, Etc.

Just called and scheduled an oil change with my dealer. Their shipment of oil and filters just came in a few days ago, they had been out of both for over two weeks.
