Thank you... I used to be scared of Penz, but that was way back in the day when they first started adding Teflon and other additives....I'm sure its great oil now and comparable with any other brand... Platinum sounds like the way to go ! Thanks again !Pennzoil synthetic is the only one approved by Chrysler standards from what I've seen, I use the platinum

well if it doesn't meet or exceed MS-6395, they won't warrant it, also if you use a different weight than your oil cap, won't warrant that eitherIt is so amusing that FCA managed to convince people that Pennzoil is "special" high performance oil that the Pentastar "requires" for warranty coverage.
False.
I'll Paypal you $1000 if you show a case where a Jeep engine warranty was voided for using Mobil 1.well if it doesn't meet or exceed MS-6395, they won't warrant it, also if you use a different weight than your oil cap, won't warrant that either
What's really funny is that before fiat bought Chrysler and forced the FIAT deal with shell oil (parent of pennzoil) to make it the default oil for chrysler as well, Mobil 1 was printed on a lot of the oil caps as the suggested oil for the 3.6 and 5.7.It is so amusing that FCA managed to convince people that Pennzoil is "special" high performance oil that the Pentastar "requires" for warranty coverage.
False.
