This has a ton of potential IMO. The Bronco will likely usher in some great updates for the Wrangler/Gladiator in terms of on-road driving dynamics and tech. Personally, I absolutely love the look of the Bronco, but it was always a no-go for me without the bed.

This has been in the works for awhile.

I'm not so sure it'll happen. Land Rover killed the Defender P/U. Ford & Land Rover have been sharing design styles for a few years, with Land Rover releasing a year before Ford.

I can see the Ford ad, tho... Bronco Sport for the high school/college kid, Bronco for parent 1, Bronco Truck for parent 2... Grandma and Grandpa roll up in the GT.

Have to say I was really anticipating the Bronco, but in person it hasn’t lived up for me. It’s very cheap and toyish looking in my opinion. I was a Ranger guy for years, so no bashing, just surprised at how cheap it looks in person. And don’t get me started on the interior.

I'll believe it when I see it.

That would give them 3 "small" trucks in the lineup, and the segment isn't exactly blowing anybody away with sales.

Plus, to do it correctly so that it would compete head-on with the Jeep Gladiator would mean that they'd have to do a total redesign of the rear half of the vehicle like Jeep did. It would need 7,000 lbs. of towing capability in the J2807 test and they can't do that with the current configuration.

Those renders remind me of the sport-trac with that really short bed, we know how well that did...

If it doesn't at least have a 5 ft bed I don't think it's going anywhere.

I'd consider it only because of the IFS and the 2.7 would make DD way better with 95% of the utility of the SFA.. That hood is fugly but if its priced right and the quality gremlins clean up I could see myself in one.

Have to say I was really anticipating the Bronco,
My daughter sent me the first notice that a Bronco was on the way...this was years ago.

I had visions of a much different vehicle.

When I saw what was actually coming out, it was almost as depressing as when I found out... Spoiler Alert...Santa wasn't real.

"might" do something in 4-5 years..... Hell, they can't figure out how to roll out today's Broncos, how do you expect them to have any remote idea on this?

Props to the kid who threw out the concept drawing. Guarantee that Ford is nowhere near discussing making this a reality.

Yes. Very disappointing in person. Ranger is the same, cheap materials and was just a big let down.

Bronco as a truck without major tweaks will just be a joke. At least the Gladiator has a real pickup bed!
