I run one on my truck and I don't see any down side other than the cost.

I would also recommend NOT getting the JT version. You can get the JK version with the correct dia clamp and mount it behind/top of the tie rod instead of under like a rock magnet!
So assuming this is the corresponding clamp, would this JK Fox ATS be the one to purchase for a Rubicon JT? https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/stabilizers/983-02-146-fox-2-0-ats-steering-stabilizer

I noticed I banged up my OEM stabilizer and I have the matching Fox shocks so I've been wanting to go with this stabilizer for a while but I didn't know about the JK "hack" if you will.

Yes, for the record in case someone is searching later:

JL/JT w/ Stock tie rod....the following just bolt right on in a high mount position.
Fox 983-02-146 Is the TS race series adjustable
Fox 985-02-122 Is the TS non-adjustable

That's a deal on the stabilizer from Northridge........

Yeah, that’s the one you’d want if you want to mount it up in the tie rod.

I unfortunately bought the one meant for the JT so I had to buy the clamp and the track bar stud bolt separately.

Funny but I was thinking of going with a synergy tie rod in the future so I looked into the 1.5' clamp version of the ATS and that one in particular is still regular price. Just FYI

Synergy tire rod is same diameter as the OEM JK, so standard JK kit for that one?

There was just a deal going where my suppliers were offering up some pretty good discounts on Fox products to increase stock order amounts.....maybe your part number wasn't overstocked. Maybe buy the cheap one and the correct clamp separately?

I recently got the Fox ATS meant for the JT for only $364.99.

Got the Fox 1-5/8 clamp and a Synergy Track Bar Stud for relocation.

I was thinking of the Synergy clamp too.

Just installed. Wasn’t too bad of an install actually. Passenger full lock definitely has some good room even though I pushed down the shock body to that 1/4” gap that is stated in the instructions.

How is everyone’s piggyback looking? It seems that if I move the piggyback any other way, it will hit the other components. Seems like this upright position is best, at least for how stock my Rubicon is.

I recommend occasionally hitting that adjuster screw with a little spray of WD-40. Mine has frozen up. Can´t help but think a little of that every oil change might have prevented it.

That said, its a fantastic steering damper!

You think PB Blaster would do just fine? Man, I wonder if there was any sort of cover for that screw so that way it wouldn’t seize up.

Driving impressions so far, the feedback is almost immediate compared to the OEM stabilizer. The steering feels much more firm even with the factory setting adjustment. I may turn it a click or two upwards and see how it goes.

PB Blaster will get an opportunity to free mine up, but I think WD40 would be better for preventing the freeze up in the first place by displacing water. But PB might do that just fine, too.

Took it up to 15 clicks… my goodness. It does extremely well at holding the feedbacks to the steering wheel.

So the tighter the damper gets the harder it is on the pump and steering to turn?

How fast and easy is it to go from let say Medium on the AST to soft when off-road like the Falcon?

The falcon will be faster, since it’s a knob. But the ATS can be more fined tune.

Wait what you have to buy additional pieces for the one made for JT?
