Only if you’re trying to mount it on the tie rod.Wait what you have to buy additional pieces for the one made for JT?
I am trying 12 currently - I might try 15 to see the difference.Just factory setting at 5 clicks.
Mine touched at full lock, I just installed a Clayton relocation bracket and it made the fit perfect and gave me a extra 3/8" clearance.Could you guys post a full lock to the passenger side photo for me to see?
I’m wondering if I’ll need to adjust mine. Not sure if it’s pushing against the stabilizer when I’m turning all the way to the right. Earlier I pulled out of a parking spot and it felt like I needed to do a 2 point turn to get out of a big spot.
The photo is mine, all the way to the passenger side without someone or something holding the steering wheel.
Instructions does state that all the way to the passenger side needs to be 1/4”. I’m wondering if it’s where someone will need to hold the steering wheel and then set the stabilizer to the 1/4” clearance.

see my post aboveGot the confirmation from the Fox service techs.
You’ll need someone to hold the steering wheel full lock to the right and then it should be a 1/4” from there.

It isn’t bad. It’s just the fact that you don’t want to go full lock on the stabilizer versus the steering stops. This seems to be way too complicated for a plug and play
If you get the JK kit, it’s already tie rod mounted so the kit includes the track bar stud and the tie rod clamp. So, will the Synergy kit (SYN8807-03) work with either the Fox 983-02-246 (JK Steering Stabilizer) or the Fox 983-02-248 (JT / JL Steering Stabilizer)?
For the general group...To add to that, the JK kit with the track bar stud in my opinion brings the stabilizer body to close to the track bar on full lock, with little room for adjustment. Using a stabilizer relocation, track bar mounted bracket will give you a little more clearance to avoid stabilizer body contact with the track bar on full lock.If you get the JK kit, it’s already tie rod mounted so the kit includes the track bar stud and the tie rod clamp.
If you want it axle mounted, then you’d go for the JL/JT version.
Yes, but you need the Synergy setup either way to mount on the track bar, right. As the mount on the stabilizer for a JK is a 1 1/2” and the JT track bar is 1 5/8” right? Or am I reading wrong in this thread. If you get the JK kit, it’s already tie rod mounted so the kit includes the track bar stud and the tie rod clamp.
If you want it axle mounted, then you’d go for the JL/JT version.
