Awesome trip, thanks for sharing with us! We may have crossed paths on Drummond island….we were there 6/21-6/24. I was running a red CJ-2A.

if you ever get back up to MI we’ll have to plan a day or 2 on the trail.

Factory mattresses. Will be upgrading to the IKamper inflatables. By day 8 I had to take dogs on extended morning walk to get lower back stretched. No fault of mattress mind you, blame is 100% on my younger self. Even with IKamper double sleeping bag and blanket along with our sleeping sweat pants and hoodies no problem closing and latching clam shell.

I had trouble with my (older) back and the factory mattresses. I upgraded to the air inflatable ones, but now it's a PITA to crush the air back out to close the top...
In the aggregate, it's a good problem to have!

As much as Cybertrucks cost, if I owned one I'd be screaming bloody murder if I went through a rain puddle that had mud in it. Doubt I'd travel on anything worse than a gravel driveway. And whine about the "ting-ting-ting" of kicked up gravel in my wheel well.
