Can anyone clarify the bumper width requirements in their states? From what I have heard, some bumpers need to cover the front of the wheels to pass inspection, while other states allow you to get away with some form of a "Stubby" bumper. I'm way more partial to the stubby so you can get a nice front view of those 35's I want to put on, but I'm not sure if it will be an issue for me in NY.

every state is different. here is wisconsins for an example. in C2C it says bumper can't prject away from vehicle. So, i'm assuming no Stingers.
It also says, or of equivalent size, strength and surface area So i don'g know that stuby bumpers would be allowed, but the 3 piece steel rubicon bumper might give you an argument as you can take the wings off. Also elsewhere i read that the bumpers need to be within 2" of factory on cars and 9" from factory on trucks. Guess it depends on what they consider a truck.....a Gladiator, or a Mack?

I just installed a eag winch bumper on the rubicon, the cost is not to bad, however there are no instruction guide. The front bumper when removed has be taken apart if you want to reuse you fog lights and wiring harness. The assembly of the eag bumper is trial and error. A lot of trial, the winch i installed is a rugged ridge 10,000 lb winch. I would recommend that to find and install a spacer like the warm winch spacer before mounting for winch because it is tight very tight fitting in the winch. I have the front bumper that will allow you to mount a high lift Jack across the front this solves the issue of where my high lift Jack is carried.

Stang - would you mind posting a few more pictures? Specifically, I would like to get a view from the ground looking up so I can see if the LoD has a skid plate or if the bracket that covers the steering arms needed to be removed to install this bumper. Thanks.

Thanks. Did you do the installation yourself? If so, did you have any issues transferring the LED fog lights? Did you have to do any drilling to install the bumper or skid plate?

I keep digging to find out if my Rigged Ridge XHD aluminum bumper on my JK will fit but I haven't found anything yet. Probably taking it off my JK before I sell it and if it doesn't fit, I'll just sell the bumper separately.
I’m looking to do the same. I’ve got a Bestop HighRock bumper that I love on my JK with a bulldog winch, LED barlight and halo fog lights. Plan to undo the wires and pull the bumper with the hoop, winch and lights all in one, put the factory bumper back on at trade in and then mount it to the JT. If I remember correctly, I read on the JL forum that it fits the JL fine but if it doesn’t, I figure I can always do a minor mod to make it fit or sell it to buy a JT specific one.
