I have happily been using Android auto in my truck for the past 3 years.
I bought a new phone about 8 months ago and it has worked fine since I got it.

In the past 2 days I have gone from
1) Having to re-plug my phone in to get Android auto to launch/work
2) Having to do #1 plus restart the truck.
3) Restart the phone and #1 and/or #2
4) Now nothing will make it launch anymore.

Sometimes I get a notice that there is a connection issue, sometimes a notice that the device is not compatible.

So I have tried new/different cables and tried using the dash port vs the arm rest port with different cables.
None will work.

I deleted all connections/parings and settings and restarted/re-connected everything.
Still nothing will work, just either one of the 2 notices or nothing at all.

So I tried a different phone in the Gladiator.
That phone will work and launches Android Auto just fine with any cable and in any port.

That says its that particular phone.
I thought maybe a issue with its USB plug.

However that phone that no longer works in my Gladiator work fine with Android Auto in my other cars.
Again regardless of which cable or ports I use.

So its just the combination of that particular phone and the Jeep, and with a rapid degradation just recently.

I am at a loss how to get it to work in my Gladiator again or where to turn for help.

What am I missing?

i think the usb ports/connections jeep uses are crap. I use to be able to use the usb port in the center consel but that data connection has stop working, for a while it would connect then drop. Now i use the main port on the dash by the radio and that works ok for now, but randomly drops, or the radio glitches out and phone features stop working well.

It's not just android. My new Iphone 15pro does the same thing. I also had the same issue with my previous Samsung S22ultra. Uconnect sucks.

Sounds exactly like what mine has always done with Android. :(
Crosses ?. I hope mine stays as is. Android user here without issues so far. Although I will say my iPod fails to connect , but that is over 10 years old so I'm not surprised it's not connecting.

The problem is totally random. It will be working fine. I hop out and get back in for another trip out of the house and it won’t connect at all. I’ve tried different cables as well. Who knows

I've had connection problems before. I was told to try an Anker brand cable. That solved my connection issues. They have them at Amazon.
