Full belly skid or 1957 red convertible?

So for about the same money within a hundred bucks I can get a belly skid for the Gladiator or a 1957 red convertible with 13,000 miles on it and 99% rust free other then under the battery tray.
A red convertible is all you get no make, needs some work but what would you do?

Thanks guys , guess I made the right choice then. As part of the Mack Truck family there is a desire to have a truck, but wanted a convertible too….Bingo!

This is awesome! I knew a guy who used to collect fire trucks. He had to keep building big ass barns to store them in. He would drive them in parades, to events for school kids, or just let the neighborhood kids ride around with him so they could work the sirens and lights when he would take one out just to run it for a few miles. He actually maintained every single one in good working order but had to occasionally drive around in them.
What is the basis for this this hobby Jack? Firefighter family?

Greg, I’m the great grandson of the founder of Mack Truck. His name was John Mack , but called Jack, there is a long line of “Jacks” in my family, most of the family lives within an hour of the Macungie plant, and we are treated well when we go there.
Family is not involved but the Mack blood runs deep with me!….Jack
This is the only Mack Truck owned by Jack’s descendants.

Well Dan my good friend from Colorado, I don’t sled down sand dunes if that makes me smart? Then again the sand is not stacked that high at the beach and usually just sit on my sled and go nowhere!

Good choice! Skid plates will always be available later on. You can't say that for convertibles.
