The 3rd Gen came with electric lockers. The rear diff also had a gear driven LSD. 4.56 gears. The rear axle was a 10.5 AAM with the axle shafts from the 11.5 AAM. Had a factory 2" lift with softer springs. Smartbar sway bar just like the Rubicon. Warn M1200 winch. The winch was really a M1500 when you needed to replace parts. The Power Wagon option was another $6200 over a standard SLT package. It came with the 5.7 Hemi. The reason for no diesel. Too much weight on the front axle for off roading, plus the winch and intercooler would be in the same location. 2008 was the last year for the 5 speed manual and the regular cab with the 8ft bed. Had a 140" wheelbase.I’d rock one of the old school Power Wagons in a heartbeat. The newer ones are take it or leave it for me. I know they have a pretty good following but to me it’s just another trim level they tack on for more cash.
4 Gen was a body change, wheelbase went to 149". The 4.5 Gen changed the front suspension from a 5 link to a 3 link. The rear went from leaf springs to a 5 link like what's on the JT. The engine went from the 5.7 to the 6.4 Hemi. Gears are now 4.10's. The rear diff changed from the 10.5 AAM to the bigger 11.5 AAM. 5th Gen was another body change.
Now you can get the Power Wagon letterings on any 2500. Which every real PW owner hates.
