Hello all, if I can't find a leftover 2023 spec'd my way just have to wait until I can order a 2024. Driving it back home through Canada will be a nice trip...
Looking forward to learning how to bump up performance of the 3.6 until I can do a Hurricane engine swap!

Looking forward to what you think is going to increase performance on a 3.6 outside of a supercharger.
Looking forward to seeing a Gladiator engine swap with a engine that isn't even out yet.
If you have the funds to do a engine swap why a "Hurricane"?

Was that a hurricane engine!? If that's what it takes to do a swap, I might pass and just go for a turbo instead...

Thanks for the warning

The tried and true LS or hemi swap is always an option. Reliable naturally aspirated power

Corvettes....unless you're talking the early 90s Zr1 or C8 Z06....have small block OHV pushrod engines. They're tiny compared to OHC engines like the Jeep 3.6.

Example of what DOHC does to engine size....look at this MASSIVE DISPLACEMENT V8.

Nah...just 4.6L.

I guess any engine that was built with a manual?

Mine got shipped up and drove it home tonight. I think the mortgage payment is going to bounce after I paid the shipping charge but that's ok... No problems, clutch is definetely hard to feel the engagement. Stalled it once. Ride feels slightly softer than my 2500 Duramax truck but not by much.

A little noisy but not excessive, i'm still going to put a head liner and Armorlite flooring in it for temperature as much as sound insulation. Kind of tight cabin but I could adjust everything so my forearms just rested on things with my hands on the neat flat spots on the bottom of the wheel. Heated options work pretty well, but the heated seat doesn't roast my backside like the 2023 Ford Escape I drive at work. Oh well.

Had fun playing with all the settings, didn't take any pictures yet but will soon!

Please no. The “increase” isn’t worth the expense. IMO
You're right.
All they make is more noise.

I got quoted for a 5.7 manual swap, they said they'd just reuse my current transmission. Did say i'd need a new clutch assembly to handle the torque obviously

3 things about a 5.7 manual swap that annoyed me:
1. It's more expensive swap than an automatic 392 swap even though the 392 is a more expensive crate engine AND requires a new automatic transmission which the 5.7 manual swap does not.
2. For some reason I'd lose reverse lights. They couldn't explain why as they said if they knew why they'd fix it. Suggested workarounds would be for them to wire the lights to my aux switches.
3. For some reason i'd lose the rearview camera coming on automatically when going into reverse. Same explanation as above. I already have rear view camera as one of the quick commands on my infotainment so that one didn't bother me as much, but I'm assuming i'd also lose the rearview camera turning itself off when goign back into a forward gear again too.

I told the guy I was talking to my expectation for a 5.7 swap using a transmission i already own would be for it to be cheaper. If it was 25-28k i probably would have pulled the trigger immediately. Was quoted 36. (392 auto quote from same place was 32, and they occasionally have small sales)

Since getting quoted for that we had another kid, so my manual v8 gladiator dreams are no more.
