This was my last road trip from Colorado Springs where I live to Steamboat Springs. Elevations varied from 6,000 to over 10,500 feet. Almost 26 mpg over 430 miles.

I track every fill up on my vehicles.

On my Gladiator it's 15.3mpg avg, last tank was 12.8
city driving doesn't help, its a bit better on freeways but not as much as one would think.
It's a heavy slow vehicle and that's ok with me.

Someone else said this before, but the MPGs will increase as it breaks in.

To anyone that bought a Jeep, it's a brick and all ways has been. If you're expecting great gas mileage, then you're SOL.

I get 14 in town. The best I have ever gotten was on 1500 mile road trip where I got 19. I also have MT.

To clarify, Manual Transmission or Max Tow? I get about 16-17 city, 21 highway, low-to mid 18s all around with the 6 speed Manual (stock wheels and mud terrain tires). It was far worse when I first got the JT though. I used to get about 14.5-15 when I first got it. Now it's gradually broken in.

My combined average since new has been 16.5. That is a full mixture of city, highway and some overland trips with the trailer and a few forays into the trials. I'm just a bit over 8K on the clock.
Recently took a trip long road trip across the state. Average on that trip was 21.5. Average 70mph over a mountain pass and several stretches of steep climbs. And some pretty heavy winds for about 100 miles. My Gladiator is a Mojave with 33's and 4:10 gears.

i was getting crap mpg until I recently swapped down to 255/75/17 tires. Now im at 18-19 around town and 20-22 average highway

I believe it's a stock overland.

So I have a new JT overland and the gas mileage is not impressive. I've mainly drove in the city but really short commutes. Farthest I've taken it on the highway is maybe about 15 miles. Right now it's showing me my average is 14.3 mpg. Is this standard? Everything I've read has said it should be about 17 city, 23 highway. This is my first Jeep, so maybe this is just expected lol. But curious to see what other's have experienced!

Are you all stock? If so, you’ve either got a lead foot or something’s wrong.

This is where I'm at. Unfortunately I didn't know about this app till I already had 2k miles. I definitely do more highway driving

im sure if he started to eliminate variables hed figure it out

over accelerating off the line
Gunning it around other cars
66mph+ on highway
Hilly terrain
Short distance city driving
Bad quality gas

just a couple off the top of my head. If the op can isolate and/or eliminate one at a time he can probably narrow down his problem

Average 18+ ....highest has been almost 21. Mind you on 37x13.5 meats and 3” lift, steel bumpers, etc.

One thing i do religiously is drive with cruise control.
