someone on reddit got the exact numbers of gator gladiators produced and, more specifically, the amount of gator max tows. apparently only 673 max tow gators are out there.

I believe the total number of Gator units was 6520. Of that number 3073 were sport models.. no further breakdown on overland, rubi, Mojave.

Where’d you get your numbers?

I see fewer gators than any other colors. That makes me happy.

Looks great- max tow or no? What tires and spacers did you go with?

It's a Max Tow. The tires on it in the picture are Goodyear MTRs, I'm running Kanati Trail Hogs now, just had them put on back in October. They are aot quieter than the Goodyear's were, plus they ride better as well. Same height and width mounted. I purchased the wheel spacers from CJ pony, not sure the brand but I ran the same ones on my JKU for 7yrs no issues so I figured I grab some from them for the JT.

Yes Gobi was a 2017 Recon color. I had one & loved the color but like my gator much better. The gobi would shift in color very close to gator in low light conditions. Direct sunlight light the gobi is very tan.

This is the issue I am having with the Gobi as to whether I want to consider ordering one. In some pics it looks fairly on the darker side more towards the Gator color but then I see some that seem very very light and I just don't know if I am into the light side of it. I want Gator but that isn't happening this year.

I know most gator owners, myself included, are hoping gator never comes back. I love how rare the color is! In 17 months of ownership, I’ve only seen three other gators in the wild. And all of them have been at Jeep events. One at Jeep Adventure Academy and Two at Easter Jeep Safari. One of them was the Teraflex Mojave.
