The Grabber X3 is made in the USA, FYI.

They have plants in Ohio, NC, KY, and Illinois.

Mine say Made in the USA right on them. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

You are right....they do get noisy. Just as noisy as any mud tire. No way around it. It annoys the heck out of me, but there's no mud tire made that won't do that. But they were quiet for a good while, maybe somewhere around 15k to 20k they started making noise. I do prefer an AT, but these are the best mud tires I've had or driven, by a good margin. I've had BFG KM's, KM2's, and have driven Falcon MT's extensively. They were all good, but this is the only MT I've had that is good in the snow and rain.

And the noise doesn't bother me when my son is driving it and I'm in my Gladiator with quiet AT's. LOL! He doesn't care, either!
I had some good performance out of the KM2s and want to try the KM3's or KO3's my experience has been the BFG tires has been the best riding on-road and off-roading tires for the money recently. But it's a really soft compound so you don't get a ton of miles out of them, maybe 50k, but they have really good dry and wet traction. I was actually pretty impressed with wet stopping traction the km2's had.

I don't do a lot of rock crawling, Here it's mostly trails, beach/sand, normal mud, then that texas clay that will get ya if you don't have decent tires LOL. the KM2's had great mud performance, literally unstoppable in my experience.

You read right.
Yes, it is. I used to twist tire cord at a General Tire plant in Barnesville, GA. My "title" - Cable Doffer. That was a long time ago. It was just announced that after 135 years of continuous operation, then plant is closing down at the end of this year. And so it goes. Continental has a bunch of other plants scattered across the US. For some and many reasons, the French continue to have a better reputation for their Michelin tires than the Germans do with their Continental tires.

Two of my wife's cousins worked at Bridgestone/Firestone in Des Moines. One building tires, the other in management.

Yep...I've got E's on my Gladiator...not by choice, but it's the way it worked out when paying $80 each for a $350 tire. LOL. (That's another story). They do just fine. No complaints. But C's ride softer, which is my preference. But C's will handle the max payload and towing of a Gladiator, so they're good enough. I have no doubt these C-rated X3's on my Wrangler would perform just fine on the Gladiator when towing and hauling. When you can find them. Sometimes that's tough. Most tires in the 35" x 17" size are E rated.

It's not just the ride, it's the weight. Most C rated tires in the same 35" size are lighter. (Not always). I like as little unsprung weight as possible and lighter weight tends to be slightly easier on the suspension and drive train. Probably a very minor difference, but I drive my Jeeps for many years and many miles, so it's important to me.

But I'm stuck with a fine set of E-rated Kenda's on my JT and I love them. They kicked ass in Moab. And in the snow, and everywhere else.
Admittedly, I'm not very knowledgeable about tires.

I went with 37" x 12.5" x 17" Toyo Open Country R/T Trail which are E rated. My Gladiator is light and I don't tow. My only complaint so far (about 10k miles on them) is the wet pavement performance. They hydroplane very easily and get squirrelly. I have not driven in snow yet.

I chose them for the durability off-road. I haven't has any punctures but have taken chunks out of the treads on Colorado rocks.

i choose based on snow and wet pavement performance.
Here, (and I am sure we aren't alone, so don't get too excited) we can have 5 inches of rain in an hour or less and there's no way for many of the roads and streets to handle that, so there's a lot of water on the pavement with it coming down at that rate. Combined with all of the hills and so on, hydroplaning is a real issue. So, I check those two things first - noise matters, but heck, I'll put up with a noisy tire if it does great in heavy rains and the 100 different types of snow we get here.

I need to do a better job choosing my next set. I won't let my wife drive the gladiator in the rain if at all possible. When the water pools on only one side of the road, these tires will suck the truck to that side. A LOT.

Went to the car wash, the young man wanding the passenger side as I pay, yells!

"Doods gots himself some Christmas tires, check it out!"

The guy at the register is shaking his head.

I asked, "Did he say what I thought he said?"

The register guy shakes his head, rolls his eyes, and just says "Don't".

How many weeks after Christmas, does that mean I have to take them off?

Inquiring MImes want to know .................

I loved my KM2's. I actually got about 70k out of them (5 tire rotation). They were pizza cutters...255/80/17, so about 34 inches. I felt like they handled everything really well except packed snow. They were ice skates, but that's just because they didn't have a lot of sipping on them. But I never had a puncture or problem. Same with the KO2's and KO's I've had. The KO's were on a Ford Truck. They were good everywhere but in the rain on paved surfaces. No problem in the wet on concrete, though.

I've had 2 sets of KO2's, one set of KO's, one KM, and one of KM2's.

Lots of good tires out there.

My neighbor and I would disagree with the balance but for sure. He drives that car everywhere.
I'd take them any day over the Rubicon take-offs I had. Couldn't get rid of those falken tires fast enough. CRAPPY tires in wet and snow. I'd go back to general tires any day after my research and experience I and my neighbor haves had. 3 years on his car, still smooth as silk on the highway, and almost no weights to balance them
I think it’s great how people can have different experiences and opinions on products. I love my Falcon AT3 Rubicon take offs. They’re the best wet performing tire I have had. I’m in South Alabama where it rains constantly. Currently about 58k on them and they’re at 6/7 32nd per tire. I liked them so much I was considering getting a replacement set when the time comes, but I’ve heard the new AT4 does not have as good of wet traction.

I hated the falcon AT3's they was toast at 35,000 handled rain Okay so long as it wasn't raining hard. The Mud they was horrendous . Couldn't go 20 feet without being stuck. Now snow they did very well when new . As they aged they hardened and became ineffective.

Night and day difference between the Falkens and the General A/Tx tires - wet traction and snow. I didn't use 4 as much with the Generals on it. The General tires were quiet at first, but after 20-30K miles, were almost as loud as the Falkens - not quite but almost.

We'll see how the stock tires do on the 2025. Haven't really driven it on snow roads due to the restrictions for driving, and little need to be out at all.
Wasn't really impressed with the snow traction on the tires on my wife's JLU today............. I was surprised at how really easily they lost traction even just backing down the driveway - the thing wanted to slide all over the place backing down at a crawl. I hope her 26 comes with better tires than on the 23 for snow traction. The all season tires on her Grand Cherokee were far better in a little snow than the stock tires on her JLU. They aren't impressive at all.

One our Jeep club's snow runs, the Jeep with the regular Toyo R/T (not the R/T Trail or R/T Pro) is consistently the worst-performing Jeep. The regular R/T's are simply awful in the snow. I hope that the two new R/T's will do better.

Apparently General is not making X3's or the AT/Xs in a 37x12.5R17 any more. I ran the x3s a few years ago and was thinking of getting another set but both discount tire and General's website doesn't list the 37s anymore.
